Im indoor and i do have clone. And veged 2 month the were mature. And all of them showed pistols i dont know just. Stress some how or genetic
gotta be genetics at this point. you have everything else dialed. like mentioned earlier I'd try go w IBL breeders if you can. should be more stable and less of a dice roll. also don't be afraid of photos. there are cheap DNA test services now so u can know the males within 2 weeks of veg. pull those and you have all fems. $10 a plant. opens up a lot wider range of genetics to you to find the best meds for your wife's needs.

As you pointed out - they are genetic herms (like my first grow).

I forgot who said it, but I agree - finish out the plant(s).

My herms yielded about a pound ( :bigjoint: ) of butter & 9 grams of bubble hash ( only washed once :wall:)

edit - my bong made me forget the rest bongsmilie :

My plan is to set up a separate enclosure specifically for those seeds - all for extraction.

You’ve been growing for 2 years and every crop has herms but yet it’s the genetics fault gtfoh :dunce:

Rather than edit a second time and admit that I'm couchlocked - again,

The first part of the plan was purchasing different seeds - see grow 2.
I went with Humboldt Seed Co's OG Kush f5 - they claim it's stable; I claim I'm new enough to prove them wrong (hoping I don't).

Another question - are you sterilizing your walls / ceiling / floor / equipment & furniture in your tent between grows?****
**** Not clean - STERILIZED.

gl - finding stable genetics

I hope you don't plan on hiking anywhere near me... randomly thrown seeds only end up pollinating everything in the area, and very rarely produce anything of value
One of my outdoor plants was in the right area at the right time. Decided to collect the seed off her, growing out a few to see what I get.

I have some feminized CBD plants that I want to get seeds of off. Hope to make my own silver solution and treat a few plants with.

Hermies happen due to our own faults. What’s your temps at? Any light leaks? What is your runoff ph? Nute line? Need more info than I am growing feminized seeds. I do know that for green point, his purple punch fem line did throw a lot more hermies than normal. Best, kanna
To some extent BUT!
There are plenty of strains that herm. It WAS part of how they were breed.
Stress breeding for Feminized seeds is LONG gone just because they DID carry the trait over to the offspring. Even IF the parent did not herm before.

Some old Sativa strains are herm monsters.... Can you say "Low land Thai" strains?

Now fem's are all from chemical manipulation. FAR less herm troubles!

BTW. There is NO such thing as 100% fem seeds from a plant. The ratio to a real male plant is about 1:3000 seeds will go real male.

Any strain can be made to herm. Many things will make it do it. Environment is THE most important factor to master for consistent results.
As far as light leaks go. I feel that is basically a misdiagnosed problem! Had plenty of "light leaks" , and even a plant that sat less the 25ft from a high intensity outdoor light.
The half of the plant that was shaded? Finished on time and perfectly. The half of the plant exposed to the nightly light? Took only 2.5 more weeks to finish, and came out just fine also..

The moon and the stars are big outdoor "light leaks"......Don't see issues with that,,eh?

I'll tell you this if the plants do herm out I don't plan on spending my precious time posting on multiple threads about how shitty the breeder is. If you have all those seeds why not just move on and let your wallet do the talking? Especially if unlike myself you have a large reserve of your own genetics.
I just don't really see what we're trying to accomplish here.
People should absolutely hammer breeders that are releasing crap genetics, publicly ... soon these shady seed companies will be out of business once real scientists and molecular biologists create true breeding strains. Most breeders are not breeders at all. They are completely ignorant on what it takes to make stable genetics and put their quality control on the farmer. Just sucks how many shitty people there are in cannabis biz. If you know of any breeders that focus on stability over the newest non stabilized genetics that would be awesome to hear. I’ve heard serious seeds ak47 is stable but thc is going to be lower than I’d like.

CSI humboldt comes to mind when you talk tried and true genetics. A lot of classic strains in his stable, some for 20+ years now. things like durban poison and old bubba kush. He will sometimes cross to a newer hype strain but you gotta pay the bills somehow.

Some of my favorite strains of all time like GG4, Sour D, and Chemdawg are all naturally prone to herm. Sometimes unstable is unstable and its just buyer beware

Never tried CSI Humboldt. I’ll try them... anything specific you’ve grown out that was good from them? Yes gg4 for sure ... did ethos glue from seed... 100 percent herm!
I miss the old masterkushx OG Was a tank of AAA weed.
