I checked rhode island medical marijuana laws & I can't find anything on it. Criminal law would say a felon or anybody in general can't b around or caught with marijuana but Im growing legal so I would think it would make the marijuana in my house legal to so what law would my brother b breaking? Being around legally grown green?

I don't see why not... You dont have to have a clean record to obtain a medical marijuana licence. Actually where I live there was an article in he paper saying how the majority of dispensary owners are actually convicted felons.

Call you local Sheriff or Chief of police. You may not get them directly, but maybe someone there can help. Call from a public phone if your worried about trouble. They will probably ask if you think he will steal or otherwise be a problem, and if you think so then its probably not a good idea.

IMHO, your the caregiver, so the grow is legally (cough..cough) yours in your states eyes. If you have your grow locked and secured not allowing him access to the room or any keys or your product, that should help of the concern of, "he could access your grow" comes up.
I would ask the people who are running the medical caregiver system for exact advice. They would know the true answer, not the police or lawyers as these laws are too new for everyone to understand yet.
DISCLAIMER: I am not in your state, just tossing in my 2 cents worth for what it is worth.

In Michigan I don't think you can be a caregiver if you have a felony but I think that's where the felony language ends. Look on Normls site they should have some info or maybe contact Norml with your question.
