Brought a 40x loupe but find it very difficult to use. My girls are over 9 weeks old now been flushing since end of week 8 and taken 2 hours of light off. They are in coco and I also turned down my lights a week ago. There are still a lot of white hairs. When attempting to use the loop they look cloudy but it’s hard to see definitely can’t see amber with it. They are banana dawg and guava dawg which are mean to be an 8 week flower.. any advice would be great

When you say "my girls are over 9 weeks old now" what do you mean exactly?

Also, how are you growing? Soil, hydro, coco?

Really need pics.

You are overthinking it. There is what the strain is listed as, and then how long your particular plant needs in the conditions you use.

When you say lots of white hairs, that observation comes before the trichromes because the bunches of hairs indicates that more swelling will likely occur.

So you can harvest now. And if you wait another week or 2 all that will be different is closer to peak harvest and a higher yield. Think of the breeder times as a timeframe that always comes with the caveat that every breeder must lie in order to not scare away buyers.

For example. If i sell sour diesel and say its an 8 week strain...and somebody else tells the truth and says its a 12 week strain...which would you buy? Its a norm to lie about timeframes to finish.

Look at the pictures of most strains...so many are of a plant at week 5 or 6 or 7 lol.

They lie because its an industry standard.
