Can I do this?

If I take a clone off a male plant now and keep it in veg, can i use it for pollen in a few months? I have two males but don't want to pollinate my females this go round. i took clones off all my plants b4 puting them under 12/12. Can i get rid of my males and just keep that male clone for later? I appreciate any input!

Sup Freda. You don't have to do this. You can collect the pollen from your current plants now and save it for pollination later down the line. Easiest way I've seen this done (not saying its the best way) is to simply place a zip-top bag over the male pollen on the plant and seal the bag around the stem (or just cut off the male bud and place in the bag) and shake off/out as much pollen as you can. Im sure you can then place the collected pollen in a small air-tight container and place somewhere cool dry and dark. Hope this might help.

do you have a seperate space you can set up for growing the male thats absolutely and totally sealed off from the girls? you will have to change clothes and/or shower after doing anything with the male before you work on your girls. the pollen gets everywhere......
