Well i read some on this concept and it sounded pointless untill i found a definite trial purpose. I have a nice female plant that got root rot. Everything i read says it mostly a hopeless endeavor to save. But i like to experiment. So i pulled the plant, trimmed all the bad roots and ended up with a root system too small to support it in soil. So i have it in water hoping it would start new roots. well that was on about march 12th. The plant is still ok, it just hasnt grown a single bit of new root. Can i graft the entire plant onto a male root system without it going hermie.? I would love to hear from any who have tried this approach.

I don't see a reason why you couldn't. It should only flower what it's genetics tell it to so multiple varieties per plant (and I'm sure different sexes as well). Would be very interested in your outcome.

Yes you can do this but like with all other plants you gotta return her to veg first, same with the male

as a plant in flower male or female is in flower, a completly different style of life to that of a vegging plant

once you have returned to veg as in re vegging and in active growth

you can expect the cambiums to join and grow with ease

I've been caught out with this myself a plant in root rot, trying to graft roots onto an active female

I just resorted to the bubble cloner for er 2 months ..lol

good luck
