Hi there,

I'm a first time grower. I'm in Week 7 of flowering of some bagseed sativa, most likely Chocolate Thai, I've read that I should flush my plants for 2 weeks before chopping them. so please take a look at the 3 plants I have below and let me know if I should start flushing them. Under the scope pistils are all cloudy some are turning brown.

Many thanks,
Razz

a couple of the shots look like you already started flushing. Might be a nutrient lock up caused by one of a few possibilities. Either way it looks like they could use a good flush. As for a final flush though... If you think that they will be fully ripe in about two weeks then go ahead and flush em. From what i can see they could go atleast that much longer if not three weeks. Good luck and much respect

also, when you do decide to flush, make sure that the water you use is the correct ph, and use either distilled water or dechlorinated tap water. You can dechlorinate your tap water by letting it sit out in a container over-night before you use it.

those are some pretty fast finishing sativas, but from what youve said and the pics i'd say yeah, you can go ahead and start the flush if you want. i usually only stop feeding a week before harvest myself. you could try it on one and see if you notice any difference in taste from it, i dont. Good Job.

Thanks kbo ca!

Yeah I'm using Bio Bizz nutes on plants 1 and 2, the yellowing is normal, according to a lot of growers I've spoken to.

On plant 3, I experimented changing to the lucas formula on mid way through flower and it didn't quite work out lol, my first grow is mostly me messing bout with different methods on bagseeds so that when I invest in good seeds I'm not wasting my money.

So you reckon I should continue giving them nutes for another 2 weeks then flush?

They look to me like they might be done in about two weeks. I usually flush my plants for a little over two weeks. So i would say if you think they will be ripe in two, then start your flush now. Some of the guys in my circle, would hit it with the nutes till about half of the calyxes turn color, and then flush, I think you would be safe to start now.

Cheers darkdestruction420. It's an odd one, they started flowering beofre I moved them over the 12/12. I was experimenting with gradually moving from 18/6 to 12/12 over 3 weeks. by the time I reached 14/10 they were covered in flowers! :D so that 7 weeks figure could be off by a week and a bit. Also they diplay signs of being sative dominent rather than a pure one as the lower leaves are short and fat and get more sativa like as you move up the plants.

So you reckon I should start flushing them? And kbo ca reckons they need a bit longer.... thing is I need to water them now so for now I'll feed them at half strength and see where they are next week ^_^
