Thanks guys. I've got some issues with methylation and everything big-pharma sells poisons me. One of the meds I was on for decades left me with a burnt skin syndrome. Really, I look like a second degree burn skin victim and I have flares where the skin just peels off. I live in a bathtub for a few months then. Life is hell 90% of the time. I need good weed and I don't have much patience left.

Fkn direct Dr sign ups to Tilray....grrrr.....it's going to be a pain in the ass getting your Dr to switch you I bet. Your Dr. is probably getting compensated....
 
I have faith in my doctor. We are located on the island and he had a tour and became a registered physician with them. He is new to the world of cannabis, and has been attending conferences where it is discussed with great optimism. He said he does not get compensated and I believe him. It was explained to him by Tilray, and then by him to me, that the registration was for the benefit of his referred patients, who would then all experience a faster approval process as a result of his being a registered physician. He and his office were dismayed that it took over a month to be accepted all the same. I do not believe he will refer to a place he is not confident in so this has been a learning experience for all of us on our end. I have yet to discuss what I received from Tilray with him and wanted to know what my options were first. He would never personally prescribe MJ before and always referred me, this experience may scare him off the whole added hassle for patients down the road.
 
To be registered with a new LP I will need to begin the process from scratch it seems. I will need to fill out an application and send it directly. My doctor needs to fill out a new application and send it directly to the LP. Both sets of applications go through the LP approval process which includes confirmation from the particular province's college of licensing physicians that the prescribing physician is still in good standing (every app needs this -- and even for LP 'preregistered' doctors), and then the applications are sent to Health Canada. Health Canada approves the application and the LP finalizes the process with the patient. I think that covers the it, did I miss anything? Also I connected with Organigram and they are doing 'milled' too because of low inventory until Marchish. Are any LPs holding their own in this mess?
 
well I read on here that some LP's will give you back any paper work you sent it ie the MMPR paper work from your doctor so you can re-use it and some where refusing to do it. This about about 4+ months ago.
 
a tonne of people in ontario and out east pay well over 200 a oz. some people think the world owes you something. if it is legalized just like Washington it will rise in price. keep growing your own since you have no overhead. a lp or large legal growers have a lot of costs to cover and that's what you will pay.

It isn't Dr. Moose is it??
A couple of corrections....the DR fills out a medical document, and does not have to send that directly to an LP, the DR should give it to you.
Applications are not sent to Health Canada.
Health Canada does not approve patient's applications.
Someone has been feeding you some BS.

It took you a month once the paperwork was sent in???

How that our problem? That's their business model failure. Just because you thought everyone was going to run to you with open arms and fists full of money hasn't worked out so good and now its gonna take 5 years just to maybe breaking even? Maybe having all those stock holders, ceo's, coo's ,cfo's, poo's, med-man's, MMAR abuser for master growers and etc positions wasn't such a good idea lol.

Exactly I got my MMPR prescription and then I can do what I want with it. The doctor just kept a copy with it, its up to me to submit it. Buddy of mine got Dr Goddard in Chilliwack to sign him an actually doctor prescription for $250 stating he can use cannabis and how many grams he's allowed to consume per day with nothing mentioning MMPR on the prescription pad. I just haven't had time to go and get mine.

So,,,,the DR signs you up with Tilray because it is faster.
Speed of getting the application through should be way down on the list.
Availability, selection, quality, price, irradiation should be a bigger concern for your DR, not speed of application.
I can't believe how lame that sounds from your DR.
It takes 2-5 days to get set up.
Nothing goes to HC, except you ATP pink if you gave that up!
They were buying time for some reason...
