ive started and i have a few nice plants but they dont have good light. i am wondering if i can just keep giving them bad light untill they are ready to flower then put under an HPS light. i cant afford good vegging lights right now i have 2 42w CFLs but there soft white how many plants will this be enough for i have 6 plants right now i could keep the good ones and plant the bad ones outside. what do you guys think? and can i use these 42w cfls for vegging or do i have to get cool white?

They sell "Y" splitters at home depot. Pick yourself up 3 splitters and 6 bulbs. They also sell higher watt cfl at HD too. Just make sure the package says the bulbs are 6500K or better. They may also rate the bulbs by natural daylight look. It should cost you under 30 bucks. You can take the girls through the whole veg process, then flower under HPS.

This is a great place to learn what and what not to do. There are lots of great people with the right info and ones that don't know anything. Keep reading, it helps!!

you can always upgrade your light. The sooner the better though
