Can I use Fox Farm Grow Big in Hydro setup?

I'm on my second grow.
Using the AG Pro200.

I decided to upgrade from the AG tablet to real nutes. Anyway, I went with Fox Farms cause I heard good things and I don't know one from the other.

Using Fox Farm trio Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom.

I got the fox farm's nute schedule poster and see that there is a "grow big hydro" and that the regular "grow big" seems to be for soil. So I go back to the indoor grow shop to buy the hydro version. He doesn't carry it. He says it's shit, too salty, doesn't work very well, and no one buys it (but all the other fox farm stuff is ok and he carries them). He pushing to some other products, especially some $26 powder.

What will happen if I just use the soil version in my hydro? I'm about 7 weeks into a Lowryder grow when I switched from AG tablets to Fox.... and the plants seem to have improved (2 plants going thru 3/4 gal a day... probably used 4 gals with soil version this week - 1 g rez).

I'm already $50 into fox farms... don't want to buy a whole new nute system so soon. :cuss:

GROW BIG HYDROPONIC is 3 - 2 - 6
Using GROW BIG which is 6 - 4 - 4

What difference will the ratio change make? I'm not even sure what those numbers mean... I assume x parts nitrogen, x parts hydrogen and x parts snozberries, or something.

[Just a note: Lowryder claims the strain 12"-16" inches tall, but my two are 23" and 25" 7 weeks in.... is that good or bad... got a 250w cool tube like an inch from them, so no stretching]
