So why are you only discussing the United States dollar? If producers of fiat currency can not survive then every government will perish. What's all of yours affinity with the U.S.? I admit that it's more interesting to discuss the demise of the country that has an economy that performs at the least twice as well as any other country in the world but some of you seem to think that only the U.S. will perish which as far as I can tell makes those people deaf dumb and blind....

In the end all currency is fiat. What is gold? Why is it important to have? Because we agree upon it. No other reason....outside of electronic conduction and a few other specialized fields, gold means nothing to us except it is pretty.

All currency is in the end a fiat. It's all based on faith. The USA with Obamanomics is removing that faith. That's all. Return to fiscal responsibility and watch the ship right itself. Keep following left wing fiscal policies and watch the ship roll over. it's pretty simple really.

The only thing with true value is food. We all cant get enough of food. We should back our money by wheat. Food had, has, and will have value. It is entirely needed.

Food production is going to be a problem if the earth cools. Actually global warming is GOOD for mankind, not bad. More food, more water. A colder climate means a drier global climate and shorter growing seasons. A double whammy.

Well in that event the U.S. Dollars value will be quite high huh? The wheat its backed by will be so very valuable.

But all a person would have to do is obtain a desalinator and you'd have as much water as you want. Think before you speak eh?

It means the food belts will move slightly to the south. It will mean less food for everyone. It will mean a drier climate with less available fresh water (for food production). It will mean the increase of pneumonia (our biggest killer).

We should wish for global warming actually. Instead of demonizing it, we should be working towards it. How bout them apples...

Think about it..... a colder planet does mean less food and water. A warmer planet means more water and food.

The cold kills far more ppl than the heat does.

Warming, cooling, whatever. It's all good for someone and all bad for someone else. Or whole species. That's just the way it is and always has been. If the enviro marxists get their way, the new currency will be carbon credits. Everyone gets an allotment and if you don't use yours you can exchange them like currency. Remember, everyone gets their annual allotment equally. Can you say "distribution of wealth?"
