Can you grow autos on 12/12?
I am curious because I'm thinking of getting autos but with 600 hps I don't wanna run it for very long. The wife would kill me lol
So have you got an auto-flower and what's the lower hours on you gave and what was the results in soil please.
Pics would be helpful to convert me

Yes you can but keep in mind, 18/6 or 24/7 will produce more yield.

I suggest growing autos on a 24/7 cycle.
Thanks for your reply mate. Much appreciated,....
Have you ever done?
the yield is no problem for me coz it's personal and only just learnt how to configure my plants lol haven't grown a plant over two ounces or so lol.
But I am expecting more with mu current grow. The first issue I have is I don't have space to mature the plant then flower, and allways flipped early.
My curiosity is I wanna smoke some mature buds lol. Or is it no different?
What's the stone like with autos?

There was a time when I grew autos exclusively. The lighting schedule effects your grow substantially. With a 600w set up, the difference between 18/6 and 24/7 is a big difference in weight.

The stone depends on the strain. My favorite (and first) auto was and is Snowryder. Good heady high though 'hangovers' were common.

split the diff and get 2 x 250 mh/hps lights perhaps a 3rd come budding

or do as many here use T5's way less heat and a good light source

cheap to run get either 1x 4ft rack with 6-8 tube at 54w per tube

or 2 2ft racks tho I confess I don't like them so much

the deal is keep it like a pc keep it open and flexible

good luck

I have a 200 watt cfl blue and a 400 hps I use as back up and for when it warm dnt mind down grade for heat adjusting.
So @ vostok are you saying cfl is okay because the wife ain't letting me got nothing else apart from what I got so its using 400 hps I have
Or 600 hps
Or 200 cfl
But I need to know the hours and what's the lowest but yet effective time for em

Using T5's or even T8's(shoplights) is what indoor guys use in hot climates(Australia) ..

even then it can still get too hot, even for outdoor growing,

they then switch to growing at night leaving lights off for daytime..it works well ...if you can't get these

I recommend you compliment your cfl blue?(assume this is cool white,6500k).

by adding another 200w cfl, but in warm white, 2700k, for correct internodel spacing

call it an early Christmas present , to yourself, this extra 2700k cfl imo is essential to your setup

as for 'auto' hours 18/6 is normal, avoid going less than 16/8 as their more light, the more growth, the more bud

but take a look around your place there is always something you can cut power on

and in most cases this 'weed' expense is no different than the cost of running a metal shop, train collection

fish tank collecting, or a host of other power demanding hobbies...good luck

Thanks for the information vostok and noysy. I think I'm best sticking to photo because I hear autos not all are finishing same time as it says in packet well most.
Photo I have more control and know the ruff idea of when and what's going on.
Thanks for all the information you guys gave me. I really do appreciate your helps and inputs. Thanks
