Can you help an old head be more up to date? Are my plans achievable?

Understood - and seriously - no disrespect intended to @TreeFarmerCharlie or @Evil-Mobo - but after 3 pages of bickering, maybe you or Evil could address the OP or move to your own thread.

What I'm getting at is that every light question doesn't need to devolve into two respected members shouting at each other until they get personal.

edit / add - I wouldn't put either of you on ignore - entertaining and very thought provoking as I consider the compromises and the dimensions of my garage (don't tell my wife!). Pretty sure that both of you contributed to my decision on my current light as well.

I moved on and kept getting attacked. When you don’t agree with someone on RIU they troll you. If you don’t agree with the LED boys then it’s an entire swarm of them. They don’t want to see the light. The manufacturers are making the home hobbyist do their R&D for them. How many years have gone by and now people who have it “figured out” want to add red light to the white lights. We have known this for years. Then they want to add UV same deal. No one who runs LED lights on here brings up the added cost associated when you have to get a dehu now and what the power use on that is monthly. Not to mention the cost of entry and the added cost of nutrients to fix deficiencies caused by the lights. And most of these morons have never grown anything besides their bonsai weed. There is a reason why @OneHitDone started that lettuce grow thread in the LED section. The plants do not respond the same under these lights. People have taken lights meant for redecorating grandmas kitchen and they’re trying to push them as grow lights. You won’t find a single head of lettuce in that thread grown under an LED that looks or taste like it’s counterpart grown under even T5 or an blue my/HPS.

RIU has not changed. You can’t help people and give honest advice based on experience because then people who feel the need to justify the costly mistake they have made will go to great lengths To insult you, discredit your facts, and make claims with no first hand knowledge.

it’s funny how when you call people on their bullshit and ask for proof they get argumentative and try to flip everything around on you.

This place has really gone to shit last few years apparently the cancer from the led subforum has just spread wild. I came back on to see some old pals and most are gone. After this thread I see why.

I never said you can’t grow weed under LED I said the crop is just not the same and its my opinion which I am entitled to. But I have tested this to death and no one else ever puts up proof just heresay.
