My last grow I did 14/10 for flower.. What a mistake.. Too much leaf growth and it all turned out larfy as hell! 13/11 worked much better but I'm sticking with 12/12..
Im surprised I didnt know this, it seems like its a common thing apparently that they can flower at 14 hours. And Im over here thinking I made a breakthrough bahahah. :wall::bigjoint:

Pretty sure trigger times are genetically dependent. Had a strain this summer flower across the equinox (14.50-9.10 day night)
Had friends bitch about bloom not triggering til early September (13-11)
Since I'm always running new strains think I'm going to start testing for trigger times

please read the attached study. 14L/10D straight through for high thc varieties caused a reduction in flower mass and thc by 2/5, but, switching half way through the flowering period to 12L/12D would in some strains result in a DOUBLING of flower mass and thc. non responsive strains were not affected negatively

also, 14L/10D to 12L/12D had about the same results as 12L/12D to 14L/10D. and they also tested 10L/14D which could also be used in conjunction with 14L/10D

interestingly, for high cbd strains, 14L/10D straight through resulted in doubling of flower mass and cbd, and they speculated for high cbd strains that could be increased with over 14 daylight hours
