Hello RIU, just purchased 5 Cannatonic seeds from Resin Seeds. Lots of mixed info out there about the strain. Feel free to comment if you have grown or know anything about it, I would love to chat. About my grow:

1 plant in a homemade 2x4x7 cab.
Soil, 5 gallon pot
236 watts of mixed led
Root Farms 1-7-5 nutes for flower
18-6 veg, 12-12 flower

It should be a girl. The pack has the female symbol just in front of the name Cannatonic.

I've seen everything from 1:1 CBD:THC ratio to 3:1 when looking at Cannatonic at online stores so who knows what you'll get.

I've grown it crossed with OTTO#1 and got some CBD pot but not a lot. It's a friend's cross and I grew 4 out of the 7 he sent me. Very spindly and very low yields compared to regular plants I grew with them but the CBD works good for my arthritis. The Otto is a hemp stain bred for high CBD so maybe those last 3 seeds have the 'one' I want. lol

Got some new CBD ones from a buddy that I'm hoping do better. A relatively unknown cross that is supposed to be 20+ % CBD and about 2 - 3% THC and are fem. Some were lab tested to get those results and the breeder has been at it for some years and seems to know what he's doing. They're called Sebring's Revenge and he was giving them away for the cost of shipping. About $10 for 15 - 30 seeds.

Good luck with yours!

I grew one Cannatonic plant 3 season ago outdoors. She got up to about 7 ft and yielded about a pound after some losses to bud rot, I grew it for my wife who has MS. She was gifted the plant from a CBD supplier. The bud is high CBD and very low THC. My wife likes it for tinctures and edibles.

@OldMedUser thanks for pointing that out! Haha I don’t know how I didn’t notice the female symbol. I have a broken vertebrae (t11) and am hoping this might help the back pain.
I crashed my Bonney chopper in '83 and got a compression fracture of my T1 that it helps with so hopefully you'll get a little relief too. I find it works better as an edible so I have a small dose of cocobudder in the evening and it helps with my morning aches and pains and for most of the day. Sleep well too. I mainly use it for the arthritis tho as it can be really bad first thing.

Gonna be a while before you know for sure tho. :)

Well 24 hours in the paper towel and no sprout yet. Question for anyone reading: If I happen to get the 20:1 pheno, will it have any trichomes? Like how do you know when to harvest. I’m really hoping I get the 1:1 though lol.

Only took like 30 hours lol. Planted half inch deep in medium sized Tim’s cup in MG seed starter. Placed under 55w CFL 6700k. Veg cab is a tiny 1x2x2 cupboard. 70 degrees 60% humidity.

Day 10
Temp 74 on / 68 off

It’s finally nice and sunny here (Central Ontario). I was thinking about putting it out on the deck through the day, I’m just not sure if that’s a good idea or not. People say not too due too pest issues. 5E486DBE-B848-4771-B7BA-389B1BC7528A.jpeg

Should be fine on the deck as long as it's on it's own. It's growing out in the garden or around other plants that seems to get them in trouble. Watch out it doesn't get sunburned too.

Don't have a sunny window you could set it in?

In northern Alberta here it's light from 5am to almost 11pm now.

Oh god northern Alberta! I worked in Anzac one year , worst job ever. I don’t know you survive the winters up there lol Yeah I have windows lol. I might just leave it under the CFL, it seems to work fine for the first few weeks.

Moved up here for the wife. Dumbest move I ever made. Keep hoping they'll build that big refinery they've been talking about for 10 years so I can make some money on this house and GTFO of Bumfuck, Alberta!

I still use CFLs and old T-12s for small plants. I like to get a 400w on them once they are taking up enough space tho. %x the light intensity and a much better spectrum too. Using a 400w CMH now and wish I had a couple more of those. I have 3 - 400w HPS ballasts that they run on.

Really liking my plants response to these Mega Crop nutes so far. Everybody looks real happy.

Gave it a light feed today 1/4 strength Miracle Gro 24-8-16. Once it dries out I’ll likely transplant to 1gallon.

Miracle Gro! Steal that from your gramma? ;)

Mega Crop will send you a free 300g sample and you just pay the shipping around $8. Worlds better than what you're using. I just started using it and so far me and the plants are loving it. I've got them on 1g/L now which is about what fully vegging plants should be getting each watering.

Just go to this link and look at the very top of the page to find the giveaway link. Just tell them everyone is shunning you until you toss the Miracle Gro. They'll understand. :)

You could grow a real decent plant with it alone tho they have some supplements too. I won one of the prize packs recently offered for Canadian growers. Got the ferts, carbo, P/K booster and some straight K alone.

Just check out all the goodies in the fertilizer you could be using soon. Don't really need anything else and so many peeps are showing great results.

Go for it man!

Hey thanks @OldMedUser I don’t use the MG for flower. I honestly don’t see a problem with MG for veg, but I would definitely try something else if you think it would make a difference.
