Hey all, Here is the set up:

1000w HPS 12/12
ph 5.8
ppm 1200-1350
r/o + 5ml/gal cal mag

so i have this nute issue, it starts at around week 2-3 of flowering, leaves dying. doesnt seem to affect the plant that much, but clearly isnt as efficient as it could be. seems to look like nearly every deficiency i find photos of.

potassium? my ppm of after calmag (RO) is around 150-200 so i dont think its calcium or magnesium... (?)

took a sample of early through late progression of leaves and is shown in photo. they are all from the upper part of the plant. not brand new bud leaves, but definitely upper part of plant is affected first.

thoughts?

Please show pictures of the grow. That same thing happens when I just let the plants get too close to the light but then again that amount of damage isn't necessarily a bad thing even the best grows you will find the same thing.

Also when you switch from veg to flower do you transition into flower with part veg nutes? You didn't even list the nutes you use.

ok, here is a pic of the area. It doesnt look that bad in this photo, but the others i took were are the lights had finished warming up vs just clicking on, and it looks like i was photographing a TV screen. But you can get the general idea from this shot.

in response to above, I am running Cutting Edge Nutrients, (grow/micro/bloom) in the flowering ratios and yes, I did a transition nute from veg to flower.
also it seems to be happening more in the light (but there is more photosynthesis there too), but its also happening in more shaded areas. So i dont think its a light issue.

thanks everyone!!!!

Looks like you might have a pH fluctuation issue. have you been monitoring your pH or making changes to it often?

Can you get a close of the buds? This just may be the way your fan leaves respond when flowering. The buds are using up the available nutes and saying, "F U fan leaves...You don't get shit!" :-)

have you grown this strain before without this issue?

Ok looking at the whole thing it's not too bad, I wouldn't be concerned but I would check ph just to be sure.

However do you use anything like cal-mag? Or any beneficial enzymes? If all else is good, these things always help to keep the plants as healthy as possible up until the end. Death is part of the cycle but we just don't let them go that far, but you can see it coming sometimes like on your leaves.

The idea is just to keep it as healthy as possible right up to the end and I think the above two additives are almost essential to getting the best results.

yes, am using 5ml/gal of calmag, and 10ml/gal of sweet. The buds look fine, could be fuller but couldnt they always? ph is always around 5.5 - 5.6, too low?
