Hey I went to Wal-Mart last night and was looking to get an air purifier. I came across a Febreeze activated carbon fan thing for $14. It plugs into a wall outlet. I put it right next to my exhaust of my grow box. I don't have much issues for smell right now, so it is hard to tell if it works good. 1 1/2 week of 12/12 so far... The activated carbon is supposed to last a month or so.

They also have a big sheet of activated carbon for bigger air purifiers for like $10. You can cut up a piece the size of the old one and replace with that.

Depending on how big of a grow op you got, you might want to look into that.

I would recommend making a couple of these. They are effective, cheap and it is easy to replace the carbon down the road. Took me about 15 mins once I got home from the Depot.

YES in fact i ordered one last monday and had it by wednesday £100 w/d and it has already made a difference to the heat and smell in my closet and the room in which the closets in

to find out what size of fan and filter you need for your grow space

take the width and times it by depth then times that by the hight

so (w)x(d)=? x(h)= ?M3 and that the size of fan/filter you need i went about 2xs bigger then what i needed

sure if im wrong with that ^^^ some one will say

well one thing for sure the RVK fan that came in the kit is supper quite its no more louder then a normal fan

if you cant afford a kit try looking for just the fan then building the filter like has already been said

My grow room (at the time) was 10' x 10' x 8'. And I used the biggest badest carbon can that I could find (it's fricken big) It worked so well that when I reduced the size of my grow room down to about the size of a double door clothes closet I stuck it in there and WOW I never had heat or smell issues.

So any way I needed to expand my grow a bit (flower room, veg room, and clone room). I kept the big carbon can in the flower room and went with the home made jobbie for my veg. room. It works so well, and all I have to do is go to the fish store to buy my activated carbon ($7.95) Not only cheap to build, but cost very little for the carbon. As for fans, heres is what I did......

Since I was using this as an exhaust I decided to buy an inline duct fan ($14.95). Works really well and my veg room had very little oder, which I cured that with a Pine Christmas Tree car air freshener! Now all I smell is pine!

Wow, I never had a loud bathroom fan! I guess it would be more like a cumputer fan quiet! Hardly noticeable. A light whisper sound. And most of them out there are ball bearing type of fans, which is a good thing to help prevent a fire!

They both look like real nice units. Nice to have speed control. I would buy for a small grow op. The price is right as well! Maybe the better way to go if you can tolerate the sound of the fan blowing.
