Carbon Filter for single plant Grow Tent

Hey all quick newb question. I'm in the midst of constructing a grow tent 3' x 2' x 5', The tent will be placed in a closet in the basement of my home. There will only be one plant going and I'm using CFL's so heat is not a factor. I'm thinking of using an Inline duct fan hooked up to a carbon filter for odor control but I don't have the option of running the duct outdoors, will this still work if its vented into the closet outside of the tent? Is there a better method of odor control for a small operation like mine? Some smell is not huge problem. Any input is appreciated.

yea i would thinnk so to ^^^ but if your not worried about heat then why vent? if your intent of venting and your still not worried about heat then u dont have to vent it out side. but seems like a little over kill for one plant. just try air freshners that plug into the wall

if its one plant then try ONA block and leave it outside the grow tent, it should eat up the smell of one plant no problem

I have several plants in my 2x2' tent but will compare to yours if I can. I get some smell off the grow in mid flower coming out of the tent. I have a good filter but a little escapes. I have to keep the door to the grow room shut to keep the smell out of the rest of the house.

I have the tent in a closet btw. Ona gel or a room air purifier with added carbon will take care of any traces in the air.

Well you see I have two plants going now (bag seed, 4 weeks old). They're just out in the open and I decided to make a tent to try and optimize conditions then it hit me, I haven't even considered the smell they will produce when flowering. So I hop on google and read a few threads that kinda freaked me out, guys saying that 1 or 2 has the ablility to stink up a whole house etc... The venting in my system would be entirely for smell but I think now I'm going to wait and if it does get out of hand, then go the carbon filter route.

Much will depend on the strain. Some hardly smell at all throughout flowering and some are just crazy stinky ( or heavenly if you like the smell like I do)
