Carbon filter problems

I have a 6” ac infinity fan and filter in a 2x4 tent. Temps of lung room is 67 but in tent with a tsl 2000 it’s 78. One 90 degree turn in ducting to outside. Passive intake, negative pressure. Filter is 3 months old and runs 24/7. I took the filter off an temps dropped to mid 73’s (late flower). Why is this filter bad already???

Any filter creates resistance to air pressure it doesn't make it bad, its for scrubbing air remember.

I’m about 2 weeks out from harvest. I ask this because about 3 weeks ago it was fine, it just started pulling less recently. I guess I should be asking what is the best way to clean it?

In late flower, really? I’ve gotten fantastic results in the past running low 80s up until flower then I start to gradually drop
I've only got a few grows under my belt using LED, but I've definitely noticed a large slow down in growth @ anything under 82F. The plants still look okay, but to keep vigorous growth like seen with hps I've had to keep temps up throughout the entire grow.

I wasn't aware of that.... I'm awaiting a new COB LED and have been growing under an HID for many years. So this info is very good for me in a couple weeks.

While we are here talking about carbon filters, has anyone noticed a smell leak when the lights go off and then a smell leak when they come back on?

I've got a COB LED with strips and they are connected with magnets and when I was watering my plants last night I hit my head on the LED and one of the strips came off and hit the floor and put a dent/rip in the bottom of my tent, in the liner. I am kind of gutted about it. It's one of them expensive premium gorilla grow tents. With HPS and HID I've never ran into such problems

Yeah gotta keep the temps up with led for sure, my flower room is sealed and has its own ac an dehu, but my veg area uses the same air as the rest of the house. Since its in a basement it gets into the low/mid 70's sometimes and the plants under cmh still do okay but the ones under led's grow really slowly. Like to the point its a problem and I have to set the trellis nets lower in the flower room for trays that vegged out under led's vs the ones that were under cmh. Its especially interesting because the ppfd is considerably higher under led's, roughly 100-150 umols on average so you would think they would be growing faster, but no. When it stays around 70-72 down there for a week or so plants under led's will really look shitty, yellowing on top leaves, purple stems ect. I just got a 4x8 gorilla tent last week that I am setting up in part of the veg area for a little pheno hunt, I would be sick if I ripped it for what they cost, that really sucks man. I would try some of that Mylar hvac tape to patch the hole, although I think gorilla might offer a patch kit. Not sure about that though, just something I heard somewhere.

Patch it from the outside with a tent patch. I did the same with a cmh ballast. Doh!

Depends on how dusty the environment is as to how quick it clogs up if at all, but you can wash the pre filter, blow out the main filter or hover it with a nozzle.

Well if you are now running it without a filter and just straight inline fan it has less restrictions and is pulling more air out than before so

I mean less than a year ago you were saying crop king seeds are fire, and black dog LED are the best, so there’s that too I guess :D
Now, now... Just because he gives out lousy advice doesnt mean anyone has the right to call him out on it. ;)
