I’ve tried 3 of the new fancy small carbon filters and am not at all sold. Maybe 1 1/2 years found an “original “ can filter (66) and still running strong. Pro tip : check local shops and the company split and I believe both companies make the same filters.

Do you use dust filters and wash them as needed? Seeing mine needing a cleaning so often makes me wonder how much longer those help the filters live.

I have a 4” and 6” filter over a year old still running strong, vivosun.

My 4” one still works with no dust filter and used with tap water humidifier and still working strong for drying herb. No filter because it blows air sitting outside of tent.

Makes me wonder why people have less life with theirs. It wasnt used as intensively like it is now with plenty of odor to scrub and will for as long as it lasts.

Ill buy the same ones because they worked so well. Not that costly for long as they last. edit Im high as heck I just saw the pollen part. Not so sure about that.

I misread the situation because isnt pollen only present through sacs and nanners? Are you breeding?

Idk but I can harvest in my grow room through negative air pressure exausting straight out side.. No one smells anything. Idk if that would help to where you just worried about odor.

Even when I did vent into same room its just a carbon smell idk what the complaint exactly is.

If i remember correct you can cook them and then bake them and they should reactivate.but that process would stink up the house

Yeah...I;m not sure how they're doing this cus the replacement carbon usually costs more than a new filter. Makes no sense. I used to refill my Phat filters when they died. Not hard...and it's pelletized carbon...so there's not a ton of dust as someone guessed. There was always a 2" gap full of charcoal. Gotta wonder if these new filters have a far less thick wall to pull through...thus the shorter life.

Sad that all of those filter s got trashed when it's easy to refill em. Find yer fuckin drill and go at it. Many are riveted.....then you put em back together with screws/etc. The one above has a phillips screw...might just come off easily. Dunno. Stoner ingenuity....GO.
