Carbon Filters and Grow Tents

Hey all quick newb question. I'm in the midst of constructing a grow tent 3' x 2' x 5', The tent will be placed in a closet in the basement of my home. There will only be one plant going and I'm using CFL's so heat is not a factor. I'm thinking of using an Inline duct fan hooked up to a carbon filter for odor control but I don't have the option of running the duct outdoors, will this still work if its vented into the closet outside of the tent? Is there a better method of odor control for a small operation like mine? Some smell is not huge problem. Any input is appreciated.

That'll work fine. Carbon filters really are the best way imo, even just the one plant can kick up a stink...which is kind of what we like right?
