Hello,

I appreciate anyone that can advise me.

CFL 300watt duel in cuboard or tent, in bedroom, light comes ut of it, though hole or cuboard opening, is this bad for your eyes, specially if you are in the room all the time?

I stared few times directly into clf light, my vision was blury, so i know its not good looking into it direct, but can it still be dangoures and damge your eyes if not looking at it direct, but light is still coming out of cubboard or tent through wholes etc.

thanks so much for anyone who can advise.

Are you 2 feet away staring at it all the time? That will hurt your eyes.
If you are though just put some sunglasses on.
Lol

Otherwise no. Just hang up a dark sheet or something.

Too be honest id say no, but i could have strong eyes. I work under 10 cfls and at first i wore glasses. Over time i dont need to anymore.
Google will be able to give you more detail. We're all just stoners here. Lol

Definitely not good for you.
CFL works on UV and quite a lot of it is leaking out.
300W is a lot.
Just seal it and it should be ok.

This has nothing to do with strong eyes.
The damages will show as you get older.

Is there a vent up top?

Ive never used a tent. Someone will chime in here soon but id think tents would have air vents up top, and at the bottom. Air in at bottom, and out the top.
Then i could be completely wrong again. But if you do anything while lights are off make sure NO light leaks inside. Not even a little green light from stereo or something like that. If theres no light she wont even need to be in the tent.

with cfls i wouldn't worry about it, just don't stare at them and its the same as being in a brightly lit room. i wear my foster grants when i go into my tents, a little while in the general vicinity of a 600 watt hps could hurt, cfls, just don't look right at them

tents usually have vents in the bottom, and a couple of sleeves on top for hoses and wiring to go through, because people generally use an exhaust fan that dumps air outside

I fucking hate having to pass shit to people in the shop to read to me, my near field vision just went to shit in like 3 years. I can't read fine print.

wear some good glasses in your tent, i even wear them in the QB tent, may not seem as bright as the hid, but thats deceiving. i was starting to get a "green ghost" that lasted for 45 minutes to an hour every time i went into my tents. i like weed, but not enough to go blind for it, got some good uv blocking foster grants and they sit on top of my tent at all times.(unless i have them on, of course, ...) no more green ghost, and i think i was starting to get headaches from it, which have also went away

I fail to understand the idea of "staring" at any light source (Other then stars - at night [better add that afor my fellow smartass's do]) !

*shaking head* Why would you stare into lights?

I swear. You think you heard it all, and then..........

SUNLIGHT IS WAY MORE POWERFUL
If you hang that cfl in your bedroom you aint gonna harm your eyes more than staying outside the same time assuming you dont look straight into the light as you wouldnt do outside to the sun...
I cant say the same for a hps 600.... its tiring pretty fast...

You need ventilation for your plants for sure, but you can get with a fan, you don't have to open the whole thing.
The small amount of light going through the vent holes shouldn't be bad, just don't stare into your lights.

Generally speaking UV both from the sun or a CFL is bad for you, not just for your eyes, but especially for your skin.
To think people actually pay money to get irradiated in solariums...
