yea cant really tell but wat type of light wur u using and how long did u flower? if its airy and light most likely had to do with nt enough lights (if picked on time)...if there where alot of long clear or white hairs and ur trichs where clear then it was picked early

Hey thanks guys thanks I didn't have enough light and did pull early without magnification have to base on browning of hairs and not all were browned. New camera and new lights.

what is that supposed to mean? ppl grow dank dense buds under cfls with great results and i feel for a small grow u cant beat em. i dont throw neg rep around but dont be surprized if cfl growers jump on u for a statement like that. congrads on ur first harvest and enjoy it will get better each time. dont go by hairs my burmese sativa throws out white hairs till the end the trichs/bulblous glad will let u know if theyre done.

Perhaps for now. LEDs aren't going to be replacing 100w HIDs for a while, but they are clearly better than CFLs. They do really well in veg and flowering.

CFL's are good for those on a serious budget, you just cant get the yield on a per watt basis compared to HID lighting. As for led's, Ive never tried them personally and Ive heard very mixed results, I dont see them replacing hid lighting any time soon, but to each his own, I still grow in soil when I know I could get faster, bigger results in hydro, but I like working with soil and having that buffer to work with, just more comfortable for me. If going with cfl's use as many as you can afford, warm/cool spectrums both and make sure to have signifigant side lighting to get as much veg growth within 3-4wks and flower, really no reason to try and grow big plants with extended veg times without hid lights, just my opinion, keep it short and sweet. Basic point is I dont know anyone who would rather grow with cfl's over hid lighting, but if theres budget concerns or space issues then you gotta do what you can. Personally if it was a budget issue I would have a cycle or two and invest in hid lighting, its well worth the intial investment for the subsequent results.

i see this thread turnin ugly i got a cfl+led grow and a hid grow and both are good for whats expected from them i love hids and will never givem up but am here with pics and gloves off to defend the little guy. im pullin .85g per watt with the ledcfl combo and 1.87per watt hid but it has co2 as well im going for 1gper with the led cfl and 2 gs with hid
if ur runnin hids and not gettin 1g per watt dont even start bashin ne one. please ur pathetic and just hatin
heres some jabs for the little guys and hope that i can be done
i pulled 74gs of p1 the bush and 68 off p2 and 71.8 off p3 so thats 214gs dry off 180w of led+70w of cfl which comes to .84 gs per watt

thankd bro it took a few runs to figure out whats worked best under these lights i quadroupled my yield since the first run. im still very much in love with my 1000w magnum but if ur in a closet or small area they are great just wanted to prove it is possible to get nice yields and of dank nugz with leds no co2 so many haters out there just bashing i know i sleep much better knowing i dont have a bulb burning at a mmillion degrees inside my closet.lol. i think its possible to get 1g per watt shit maybe nexttime peace

Your bud looks great, awesome numbers using any equipment so no one can knock your grow dude, personally I love my mh/hps, Ive used cfl's in the past for small closet grows, I currently use a couple 125w with hoods for my seedlings or clones, whichever I have going, but I see serious increase in growth when they get under the mh, so of course I will side with the hid lighting but thats not to say cfl's arent a good option, cause they are. Now Im not an expert about lighting and havent done any research on led's, Ive heard mixed results, nothing terrible but from what Ive seen there damn expensive and cant see how some claim they can replace mh/hps but Im open minded so if anyone has any good info on the subject I would be glad to hear it. Take everyone, peace
