CFL hempy's::very first grow

As the title says, this is my first grow ever. Well I have had a lot of seeds I have been collecting for a while and I have been tired of paying for my weed...so I decided to start growing. I understood the germination process and so I germed some seeds for about a week in paper towels til the tail was about a 1/2 inch. Now I hadn't done much research and just figured I would throw them in soil in some pots and water them daily in the backyard. Well within a few days I they popped and started looking pretty healthy. I then did some research on the hempy method and knew this was the way to go. Well needless to say a couple of my plants started to yellow at the tips, so I transplanted them into my hempy's yesterday.

Here is my set up:
-100% Perlite (the big OMRI brand bag from home depot)
-GH flora nutes (I will be using the lucas formula for vegg and bloom)
-32oz styrofoam cups
-2.5 gallon buckets from 99 cent store that I will transplant to when they outgrow the cups
-4 27 watt 5500K and 2 9 watt 2700K CFL's for vegg (I will switch it up to higher wattage 2700K when I bloom and switch to 12/12)
-An old IKEA shoe rack that I rigged so I can move the shelf my plants are sitting on down when they grow
-A table fan and a 3 foot standing fan

Now...I will be watering these everyday for maybe a week or 2 since I transplanted them and see how they are doing I am also using a 24/0 light cycle for this time frame...then I will change to 18/6 light cycle and start light nutes. Does all of this sound right??? Also, I am hoping I do not get much transplant shock as I was trying to be super careful.

Here are some pictures...the 2 bigger plants are about a week older then the others.

Can someone tell me what they think about the leaves in picture number 3?? I think it may have been the soil I started them in but I dont know...I was watering them once a day when they were outside until there was runoff from the bottom of my pots with no nutes

Also in order...picture #1 is my closet set up; picture #2,4, and 6 are some seeds I got from a strain called RAZ; picture #3 is some reggie (which I have like 50 seeds of haha); and picture #5 is Super Silver Haze

so you're growing in 100% perlite?
you have to add a lot of nutes I supppose.
omfg, i'm sorry. I'm a little tipsy.

idk they look good, so far. If you're using 100% perlite I imagine you will have to use nutes and shit, a lot. cause that is meant for drainage.

Good luck :)
check out my grow, I just transplanted into a mostly aeration style soil amnd they're doing awesome with nutes.

well i pulled them from soil so for a while they were taking up whatever the soil had to offer...since i just transplanted into the perlite, i was planning on watering with just water the first week then switch to my nutes...many people run straight perlite in their hempy's...it does drain a little faster than using a 3:1 per/verm mixture, but it is no biggie since i can check on them a lot

as of today i can already tell they are liking the lights...most of the leaves are really perking up...i cant wait til they hit the rez

does anyone have any ideas on what is going on with the plant in picture #3?

nice set up you have nolan

bumpin this back up...still trying to figure out what is going on with my lady in pic #3
It looks fine to me, it actually looks like the strongest plant you have so far to me.
What do you see that would be a problem?

It doesn't have the little baby leaves but they aren't really necessary after you start getting branches anyways.
It could be the genetics.

the bottom leaves being yellow and the fact that my leaves are super curled just concerns me

thanks for the response man...i am unsure of the npk on the soil, it was some cactus soil that was fast draining or something like that...i just got anxious when i got some seeds and used what i had

ya looks like the soil had a lil too high nitrogen for the seedlings...should clear up tho since i see your just plain watering for a week...give a 1/4 dose to start with....az

i kinda had the idea that was an issue since the soil was meant for larger plants haha...thanks man

one more ?...when i start my 1/4 nutes, do i change my light cycle to 18/6 then?? sorry i just blazed a couple bowls and i just want to get this right ya know haha

i personally dont grow under 24/0 there's certain process's the roots undertake that need a dark cycle....i prefer a 20/4 veggin time...from work i've done an other's have done 20/4 seems to be a better veg then the 18/6.....az

TODAYS UPDATE

it looks as if some of the plants are developing a slight purple color tint to the outer edges of the leaves and the very first set of real leaves are starting to turn slight yellow...i read that is could possibly be a phosphorus or potassium problem which would make sense from that soil i was using...should i contiunue flushing til saturday then skip sunday and start 1/4 nutes on monday?? i don't wanna lose these plants
