cfl question please help

i have 3 26w daylight cfls and 3 42w softwhite cfls should i leave them on for 24hr cycle for vegging or 18 on and 6 off? and should i get 3 more 42w cfls for flowering and take the 26w daylight one out? your suggestions are greatly appreciated and helpful thanx
 
for veg you need to use the daylight ones, after its about a month or more old (depends when you want to) put it into flowering with the soft whites. I would get more of the softs for when your ready to go into flowering.

yes you can do that....
but i know that all livingthings need time to rest and recover, it is also true that the plants willincrease their root growth when the lights shut off
 
y would i get rid of the foil? will it fry my plants and dnt i need something to reflect the light around the chanmber?? or do i need to make a reflector?
 
the foil breaks the light and fragments it painting white or mevlar would be better i used foil before and changed to white it make a big difference
 
yeah i'd get rid of the foil.. plus it's easyer to paint the box.. i used foil one time and i moved the wrong way and it got ripped and never stayed up after.. it's alot easyer to paint the room or use realy mylar or panda plastic for the room... i used foil with no big problems for my 1st cfl gro except for it was a pain to keep on...
 
if i use white paint what kind of white paint just flat white or?? and where can u get mylar at? thanx for the help though guys better to catch these things b4 they sprout
 
yeah and if i use the oil type of flat white i usually give it a quick going over with a wet towel with a little jevex or heavy cleaning solution to disenfect the hole setup.. because anything that you bring in could have little bugs on it that can harm the plants. soo give all the room a little scrub and do the same with the pots. but make sure you rinse off with clean water afterwards..
 
yea like mites maybe some beetles or shit. Ill be sure to clean it id like to be able to smoke my product and not throw it away. how do u recommend gettin rid of waste when it comes to that time? i have a big 55gal barrel i burn shit in would that be good idea or will that smoke smell like bud?:weed:
 
man keep the foil it dont break light guy who said that is in ass clown in the department of physics. just tape the foil up all around it the cfls dont get hot enough for foil to cause burns. foil is alot more reflective than paint.
 
if i do paint it its not gonna be til after this grow is done. but i do like the mylar i might go for that the 2nd time around this is just a trial and error grow. to see what needs to be improved. so the more info u guys help me with the better i can make it. besides the obvious of reading the plants.

Do a little more reading , aluminum foil is NOT what you want for reflectivity , flat white paint or Mylar is better.
