If you can read i did not say i grow lowryder, but "lowryders" plural.... type plants, ie, small and auto, it seems there is alot of people with severe dyslexia in here, and yes there are good auto flowering bud out there, obviously, have not quite reached your part of redneck woods yet, :P,,, I suppose you all still use 33.3 dial up modems too, ha ha ha ha ha , but hey there again thats why i see setups with toilet light bulbs.

NLITES Work!!! And unless you are commercial grower with shit loads of space and unlimited electricity supplies "as most of you sucess stories" in here, i am amazed you have time to hang around forums at all, as you all must well be well loaded $$$$$$$ and with your own branded seeds, let alone your own your own highly successfull seedbanks, :D , Attending the ganja cup in Damme with all your most excellent weed, ha ha ha ha ha , exponents of the Ganaja revolution of growing, and passing your years of intimate knowledge on, to us mere mortals. we bow and scrape for your most excellent knowledge...

you don't know the start of it.......

lowryder "type". hahahhahahahahaha

My Hps Light Only Raised My Bill .22 Cents A Day...thats Not Bad At All...i Would Go With A Mh/hps Converter Light So You Can Use The Mh Bulb To Veg Then Put In The Hps When Flowering...you Can Pick Up A Hydro Farm Brand 400 Or 600 Watt Light For Under 200.00 And If You Ask Me Its Money Well Spent...nothing Beats The Hps When Flowering..except The Sun And I Even Have My Doubts About That. Hid Is The Way To Go My Friend.

The envirolite cfl's seem pretty nice if you want to do a super stealth grow. Those regular compact flourescents are shit for flowering. I'm pretty sure he was talking about the envirolites, but lost all credibility when he referred to "lowryder" as the strain of choice.

man you should get some of the LED light bulbs from htgsupply adn put them in that fixture and see if there is a big difference. Its expensive expiriment though but will save on your light bill.

Use whatever the fuck kind of light you want. If you are happy with it and know how to use it then who gives a shit. I think a few people on this thread are way too uptight about their choice of lights. You know who you are. This thread was usefull for the first few pages.

its funny cfl people remind of apple pc people. deny till death that theres a much better option available. yeah you can use a cfl to grow, and an apple to browse, But when you want the real deal, and need more than easy to use, want to hang with the big boys you gotta step up and get HID. And I almost threw 4 cfls at the wall the other day after watching it stretch the shit out of my seedlings for 5 days. Had them an inch off plants and they were falling over stretching. CFLs are for kids. Its like build your grow box out of legos or wood. they both work but...If I use the cfls itll be to light a single 2inch of bud site that looks promising. So if i were to imagine how many cfls before I think i felt enough light it would have to be at least 25 cfls. That would be bright, but absolutely retarded. Same as anything over 5 or 6 cfls , i mean 50 bulbs in my eyes are also 50 oppurtunities for a fire or explosion. Where with my 1 400hps its 1 possibility. And if you havnt tried cfls yet. get one, youll see they all get damn hot. Especially after long use.
I use Apples (and HIDs) and i am in IT (unix sys-admin). Unlike CFLs, i've used PCs. i'll keep my Mac, thanks.

sorry for getting off-topic. just didn't care for the unnecessary insults given in ignorance. guess it's not enough that Microsoft has 90% of the world locked into their OS - some folks won't be happy until the remaining Mac, Linux, other users get sucked into the black hole too.

Sorry again folks - now back to our regularly scheduled topic...

next up ... soil vs. hydro! :-)

It seems that most of the complaints surrounding CFL's are related to penetration issues. Would this not be resolved by setting up a simple CFL ScroG with some high wattage CFL's? No penetration issues with even coverage...

You're probably right. I'd try it.
