I was looking at this t5 florecent light, 4 2 foot bulbs for $245.00. can someone suggest a cheaper light and where to find it?? It would be just to start then under 1000 watt.

Dont buy that! Why would u pay more for your flouros than an HPS? Not being critical......well, yeah I am! jk
Buy a couple packs of the daylight CFLS from walmart. They sell two-packs for 7 bucks at walmart.......that would be your best bet.....you will save 200 dollars!.....be brutal!

I just want something that works well, so i would need a fixture (any fixture)?and what kind of bulbs? walmart is close.

Check this out. Its only a 2 two foot fixture, but each bulb is a double bulb. Even if you bought two of them you would still be way below $245

T5's give off far less heat than HPS lights and can be kept very close to the plants wthout exhaust fans..


Although HIDs have greater growing potential, T5s are easier to use..
