What is the chance of getting caught with a 600 watt HPS in an apartment? Either by thermal imaging or the electric company. I will also be running a blower to vent my grow room.

i dont think its the power consumption that you have to worry about growing in an apt, but rather the smell and the chance of say some kinda repairman or the owner stopping by and wanting to come in instead.. tell no one about the grow, pay your bills on time and have some good odor control and you should be golden..

Very small. You should be more worried about anyone you know knowing you're growing. The chances that the police are going to spot you with thermal imaging and the like are really minor compared to the chance that someone you know will rat you out. Never tell anyone you grow and you'll be fine.

How bout a 1000 watt bulb? I'm still learning and now figuring I'll need a 1000 watt bulb for my setup. (6 Feminized Big Bud plants growing as tall as my reflector and ceiling will allow.)

At my first studio, I had free utilities and had no problem with a 1000w. and if your in cali just get your scrip! you can grow 12 immature and 6 mature.

Listen to this guy. And dont grow your plant to the ceiling. Thats stupid when a 1000w light only penetrates 18" of leaf. WM

Yeah I'm not gonna grow them that tall anymore. I kinda want a middleground between a bunch of plants and big plants. Maybe 12-15 smaller plants, but still not tiny like SOG.
