Changing LED lights late flower

I'm finally replacing my old blurples with samsung QBs. My girls are in week 8, probably 3-4 weeks from harvest. Is there a risk of hermingif I switch lights now? I've seen plenty of recommendations about not switching from hps to led during mid flower. Any first hand experience?

Congrats on your upgrade, what qb did you get? It's possible to get herms but your blurple likely wont do great job budding. Does your QB dim? If so maybe take an intensity reading for your old light, dim new light to match and than slowly turn up over a week to 10 days. Free lux meter app for your phone should suffice for this purpose.

I got a good deal on maxisun pb1500s. I'll have 4 to fill my 5x5. The blurples were ok I guess, but yeah I'm excited for these new lights. They have undimmable sosen drivers aren't but I have 9 ft of verticle space that I wasn't fully using. Thanks for the reply.

With a 9 ft vertical you can do the same thing raising light to achieve your goal and than lower over time. I find blurple lights can produce good bud but not as dense as I would like, at least with what I have tried. Good luck man, always nice to upgrade :)
