Just thought I would share in case some people didn't know or were hesitant to buy one. but Home Depot has 4 and 6 inch inline duct fans from 80+ cfm. i have a 6 incher in the attic blowing into the system and a 4 incher sucking it out at the end of the system.

they work just fine. the 4 incher is strong enough to cool two cooltubes and a remote ballast box and 15 ft of ducting easy.

Ive always seen these duct boosters and wondered of effective they were, are those 2 cooltubes running 150w hps's? Thanks for the info

these aren't worth the hassle, not for meat least. I bought the six inch fan and it didnt lower my temps at all. Plus I had myplants on cfl's. Now I'm running a 400 watt mh open hood. Plus a 4 inch inline can fan temps are around 80 and the lights about 15 inches away. Not saying the home depot fans won't help you, they just didnt help me.

both cool tubes have a 150 watt hps and a 70 watt hps in them.
with the door to the closet closed you can only hear a dull drone. I would relate it to a stock dell computer on at night.
