I posted in their TopLED/MarsHydro thread. I don't believe I ever mentioned other lights. But, I posted critically of TopLED a few times and never suffered any consequence. I thought they were fair. SmokeSara was trying to get the mods to do something, accusing me of being a competitor. Nothing ever happened.
Autoflower dot net has a similarly extreme policy about mentioning LED brands. I forget the details. Something about how you can only review a light in their official review section. It must follow a complete grow journal. Links to lights are not allowed anywhere except in the official review section. Mentioning a light too many times can get you in trouble.
I don't know how much of that is maintaining the value of their sponsors, or due to the LED market being *filled* with scammers. The latter is definitely true. A lot of these guys like joyhydroled and hydrlgrowled will stoop at nothing to promote their lights. I believe it used to be worse.
