yeah, here in chicago we have to pass that emissions shit.... and you cant have a check engine light on or its an auto fail.... hate i did it but i was just trying to save money .. really needed a detailling.. and a crapet cleaning,, got 3 kids and a wife... who fucks the car up ..... ....after about a day or to of the check engine light bing on... it would say .. enargine redused power.... an it would KIND of be slugish.. but not its fine.. but it still say check engine.... and the gas gauge would act wacky .... it would read no gas on E, after running for like 15 min....
i have a 08'chevy uplander..... worst part is i just paid that hoe off at the begaining of this year..... would love for it to last as long as i had been paying on it (to me that would make me feel likei got a free car..LOL)
we got the same emmission testings in my state too. damn by the sound of it somthing electrical is seriously messed up. the main computer for your car can be placed in afew spots that definitely could have gotten wet from a pressure wash inside the car. best thing i can recommend being somebody who worked at a specialty shop for acuras and hondas id say you should go to a dealership as expensive as it is, or find a trustworthy independent specialty shop like the one i worked for, that has dealt with your type of car multiple times before, trust me it can make a big difference in the service.

haha at my old shop we had a list of cars that we maintained into the 300,000 mile range! mostly accords too, and afew well taken care of civics. there was an 87 accord hatchback that was straight held together with duct tape and it had 425,000 miles on it and still ran last time i saw it
my truck beat the civic.. 94 silverado 1500 ext cab, it made it to a little under 300,000 then i got destroyed by someone in a jetta who blew a red light he crushed the front passenger side so fuckin bad it was crazy im so lucky i wasnt with anyone. the truck did have some issues.. but they were GM issues.. alternator, starter and the tail gate latch lol. that was a good truck.. and i had the duel exhaust on it, flowmaster american thunder.. i miss that truck, i beat the shit out of it bad but no matter what i did to it.. if i kept up on all the fluids and shit.. changing the oil and time and crap, that truck wouldnt friggin die on me
