man this strain is amazing by looks. i havent smoked any yet. dont even know anyone else that has grown it. i've grown chernobyl by tga subcool and it is amazing also. cheese quake doesnt have quite as much resin but much bigger, denser buds although makes sense being indica dominant. it also has a very pleasant sweet smell it it. i did burn her a bit with nutrients but nothing too bad. still has very nice looking fan leaves, just a little burned on the tips. im going to make her into a mother after i reveg her. these pics are several days old but harvest will be soon. going all organic from now on. also i noticed little tints of purple. cant remember what week these pics were at, probably like end of week 6 i dont feel like checking. using hps 600 watters along with blue spectrum t5s and CFLs. 1400ppms of CO2. 85F for temps. dark temps get about 75F. i keep my humidity as low as possible right now its about 40%. trying to get 30 but it's been warm and humid where im at lately. my nutrient program is quite large. technifloral bloom, botanicare cal mag and liquid karma. general hydropics sugar cane. hybrix molasses. atami bloombastic. fox farm big bloom. i've since changed my nutrient program for all my strains because all this extra stuff is bullshit. yup, i learned the hard way all these companies and hydro shops that talk the products up are just snake oil sales men. sure the nutrients work but there are much simpler ways of doing things that cost much less money. just go simple and organgic, know that strains genetics and check ph and ppms. ever since doing this my other strains taste much better. my old shit i had a bit of a chemical taste. hoping this cheese quake wont. and flushing you dont even really need to do either quite as much as they say. at the end of the plant's cycle go much lower on your ppms. then the last week or 2 just use plain water. you dont need flushing agents or to run a shit load of water through the pot. also for flavor, you can REALLY tell how well flushed something is in a good vaporizer. i got a handheld volcano plenty and i can taste it more in that vape than any other vape i've ever used even the regular volcano and the silver surfer. and how the fuck does everyone have such bad bug problems? all these hydro shops that sell fox farm soil and their other soil are just swarming with fungus gnats. i prefer a nice clean pro mix. and mites, preventing mites is just common sense. never mix in outdoor with indoor. never take in plants from anyone, even the growers you trust most. i learned the hard way myself as well. start all your plants from seeds. if your indoor area is clean you should never have mites. ever since my co-growers and i started all our stuff from seeds, we never seen a single mite. if you must save a strain and cant find seeds for it, you need to isolate it as far as possible from your grow. the bigger the plant the harder to treat. if the plant is too big, cut off a clone and keep it isolated and treat it until it's clean. a small clone is very easy to treat. also powdery mildew, i cant believe how bad some people have it. keep your temps higher, even dark temps and it will really help. of coarse low humidity is the first thing you want, but if you already have low humidity, keep your temps higher. mildew hates it. i had a problem with some strains with mildew but never seen it since i kept my temps up. it's really almost impossible to stop it, the spores are everywhere. we are all breathing spores in right now as we are typing and reading here. you just need to keep the conditions unfavorable for it to spawn. however on a down side, keeping your temps up and stress certain strains into hermaphroditism. happy smoking everyone! be safe and be legal! :bigjoint:
