I just stumbled onto this on the Cali Connection website. I noticed he mentions dogweed from CB.

Chem4 OG (Chem#4 X SFV OGK F4) - The Chem 4 clone was found from seeds started in 2006 from the original seed stock chemdog sent joebrand. joebrand stated the seeds chem sent him and out of them there was chem 1,2,3,4. the Chem 4 is what joebrand dubbed the Reunion pheno as it reminded him most of the original dogweed from crested butte. i crossed this to my SFV OGK F4 amle in hope of bumping up the yeild on the og, and in hopes of bringing a little more citrus out of the chem4. expect large yeilds form this hybrid. Flower time will be 8 weeks

Crested Butte was known for P-bud, not Dog bud. Dog bud was a steamboat springs local strain.

I've seen plenty of p-bud in western CO over the years. I remember reading about dogweed in a couple of internet articles about chemdawg. Can't say I've ever seen any dogweed though. I too heard the story in the '90s about someone from Vietnam bringing back seeds in hash or buds and starting them in the paonia area and calling it p-bud. Makes you wonder what has actually gone on over the years, and where the hell chemdawg actually came from.

It is funny how this thread keep coming up. I think sometimes we look to the facts for the truth... But today I learned that sometimes we need to look at the truth for justice. Dot dot dot doogie houser m.d. Music....

I thought someone a page or two back had mentioned that there's still cuts of p-bud around in the paonia area. Anyone know anything about this?
