ChilLED Growcraft X6 – 600 Watt overview

Anyone know whats the diode count and type per bar? Im assuming samsung 4000k and osram but no info on their web. Seems comparable to r-spec 260w kit, a little more power and spread.

Heres my thing though:

Why are chilled making less efficient products as tech updates? I might have this wrong cause i dont know how the 2 compares in terms of efficiency at max output and price points but it seems a bit counter intuitive that their next gen product has less interesting spectrum (no n-uva) and less efficiency at recommended levels.

The new gen 3 comes out as 2.6 ppf/w while the gen 2 got 2.73!?!?!?

I might be wrong somewhere and ive still not seen the video but it doesnt look right to me.

Edit: 3000k and 5000k diodes half an half.

You ask a good question. I guess they looked at the numbers, and maybe thought that this new generation of product would have broader appeal and increase market uptake.

3000k/5000K 1:1 ratio is same as Mars. I can't understand Why These companies think this is smart ita WAY TOO MUCH BLUE for flower and it shows in the end product. My Fissioning boards are definitely going back up.

I guess they choose these things for a number of factors. Don't forget the added red. Growcraft spectrum hovers around 3300K. This appeals many.

Regardless of total CCT, the extra blue really doesn't help in flower. I don't understand it at all. None of us have ever used 5000k in our builds.

I gotta admit I just bought the chilled cause I thought it looked cool. I have one of the mars SP-250 and the spectrum does seem a little one the blue side compared to my R-spec quantum and the Rapid LED unit with the V2 pucks. After I bought my 2x4 kit from Rapid I noticed they removed one of the pucks from the kit while the price stayed the same. I'm smart enough to put these kits together but dumb enough to buy them without much research...lol.
