Choosing a light for my clone box

Hi,
I'm making a clone box from a Sterilite tote and instead of CFL's I'm going with household LED's for better efficiency. I'm stuck between these two lights:

2x Cree 9W 5000K with bulbs off, and Y-splitter in an 8 1/2" or 10 1/2" reflector

  • 18W
  • 1600+ lumens, non-directional
  • about $37 for 2 bulbs, adapter, and reflector

Philips 19.5W Daylight PAR38 flood light

  • 19.5W
  • 1300 lumens, directional
  • $44

Which one is better? I'm worried about losing a lot of light to the reflector with the Cree's.

Go with the CREE since it's efficacy is higher and the plants will like that. Have you seen the new CREE Home Depot bulb? I haven't seen one ripped apart yet but it might be more suited for growing plants.
Interesting, I didn't know they sold a floodlight version too. Same wattage, and only 650 lumens vs. 800, but the directional light should more than make up for it. Thanks, I'll look for it the next time I go to HD.
