City Water

I would appreciate some advice here. This is my second year, last year was a large learning curve. My concern is that I will be leaving home and having a caregiver freind come and stay with my mom. She has no problem in watering my lovely ladies, my concern is it okay to use city water for 3 waterings. Currently I am using rain water, 20 gal smart pots, they are taking about 2 gallons every other day. I add nutes, growing in fox farm ocean. I want to make this easy for her, will city water harm the plants for those 3 waterings. I am in Southern Oregon and we are just know heating up and I grow in a greenhouse. Please be gentle, I'm fragile:-P

City water is usually fine...You could check out your city water and see if they use chlorine or chloramine. If they use chlorine, you can let the water sit out for 24-48 hours...If they use chloramine, your beneficial bacteria could suffer a tad bit, but I wouldn't even worry about it if it's only for 3 waterings. pH might be different than what you've been using though. The pH of my tap is the low to mid 8 range.
