cleaning a glass pipe

i have a glass pipe that hasnt been cleaned since its been purchased which was a little over a year and 2 months ago. how should i go about cleaning a glass pipe ?
 
mix salt in some rubbing alcohol and swirl it in your pipe until thing clears up and maybe use some q tips to poke the large chunks. Then rinse well with hot water.
 
yeah rubbing alcohol always worked for me. never tried it with a little salt though.

afterwards, I just let the dirty alcohol evaporate and i have a nice ball of rezzzzzz... good shit.
 
yeah try cleaning a 3 footer with an ice catcher. havnt tryed 420 yet. may pick some up today. how much is it a bottle? what is it exactly? can i toke a bowl right after?
 
I always boiled my pieces. Cleans them to as if they were brand new. then I poured the dirty water through a coffee filter and smoked the findings.
 
All boiling water will do is spread it around where there aren't any clumps of resin just a thin coating.

Formula 420 is about 20 dollars a bottle and all it is essentially is alcohol and salt. Just go to the store and buy a bottle of rubbing alcohol (79 cents at walgreens) and use the salt you have at your house. For a three foot bong you will probably need 3 tablespoons of salt and about half the bottle of alcohol. Empty the bong of water and pour in the salt and then pour in the alcohol. Shake the piss out of it for about 3-5 min depending on how clean you want it. You should be able to see it work. When it is as clean as you want it just pour out the alcohol salt and resin soup. And as a personal preference I rinse the excess salt out with alcohol. Once all the salt is gone I then rinse the alcohol out with very hot water(almost intolerable). The next step is the best. Make sure the bowl is dry then pack a bowl and get high.
 
Well i was going to boil some water and pour it in to the 3 footer. but im pretty sure it'd crack from the quick hit of hot water, correct?

Yeah, I just made that mistake on my chaos bong...and they're pretty damn thick.

I have a little mixture that I usually use for bongs which is...warm water, toothpaste, salt (sea salt, if it makes a difference), dish soap, and rice.
Sounds weird...but it sure does work.
 
yeah i think mine is like 4 or 5mm cant remember exactly. i lent the bong to a buddy for the last year, as i didn't need it, and i get it back with resin cakeddd thick. i am about to use some goo gone, if Ach. doesnt work

your pieces OUTSIDES may be aquafina sparkling but the insides to those are not. They are covered with resin all over the sides, which will in turn taint the flavor of the bud that you smoke through them.
Thats not really alot of pipes either. I suppose that is okay collection for someone who dosent smoke a whole lot though. the reason i say that you dont smoke a whole lot is because heavy smokers HAVE to clean their pipes every 6-8 months @ least. i usually clean mine about every four months though because it taste better.

get a paperclip, straighten it out, and then make a hook about this ling @ the end -> -. dig that thing around in there and look at what comes out on it. Oh and thats the way i clean my bowl....heat it up a bit and dig everything out, then rinse with alcohol for a bit to get the remains out. rinse dry and smoke out of the just like new pipe.
