Clone issue

I was going to pm this question to friend here on this site, but decided to post it here thinking it may help someone else one day. The issue I need help with is this.
While in the humidty dome is it common for the leaves to turn really soft? I have never seen a plants leaves this "soft" and "rubbery". Should I remove the dome cover or is this common?

has the dome got any vents on it. if so open these maybe its to humid in there.

its common wait until its vigirously growing then gradually let air in then transplant.
