Clone Problems

i dont no why my clones keep doing this the leaves are turning yellow and browning. i dont use any nutes just plain water that sat out for 2 day uncaped. i am useing two 4 foot floros the temp is between 65 and 70 all the time and every time i take them out of the dome they shrivle up put them back and 1 hour later there fine... what am i doing wrong and can these be saved

get them some more moisture for the leaves and you might wanna put a few back in your dome, it could be a pH problem or they simply haven't rooted enough. although one might look like nute burn, maybe flush that soil your using and add some perlite or cut holes in the side of their pots, they need some air. be careful handling their feeding though, they might still be using their leaves to eat nutreints.

also, add a little bit of superthrive(a teaspoon per gallon, maybe less for the smaller ones) to your foliar spray, this might help them get back to normal.

Is that bud I see on those clones? Did you take the cuttings from a flowering plant?

i took the clones off my mataro blue female and apollo 13 female that have been under the floros for about 5 weeks on 18/6 i just moved them and my other 4 into another room with a 400w super hps havent touched since i moved them besides to water.

What kind of soil is it that? Maybe try some new stuff.

The soil looks compact and over watered, you want to add perlite to your mix and use less water. I would also raise the rockwool cubes off of the plastic, if you hold a cube gently(no squeezing) and then shake it very little water should come out...if they are water logged the clones won't root well.

They wilt over because the root system cannot support the plant yet...keep them under the dome longer. The humidity keeps the stoma closed, and prevents the plant from wilting. The root system cannot keep up with the transpiration at a lower rH.

My first time I'm using rapid rooter. It's day 2 and their doing excellent. Still stretching for the light in the mornings. Crossing my fingers....

Clone leaves are supposed to yellow. They do this while feeding on the stored food in the leaves and you will notice some yellow while they are establishing a root system. The clones in your pics don't look very old. They probably needed more time in the dome to root properly. I leave mine in the dome between 8 and 10 days untill I see roots poking outta the rapid rooters, be sure to open the dome and mist daily, and when you see roots, then transfer to your medium under floros.

Your temps are too cold for clones.. I would at least be at 78 degrees at highest 85 degrees...

Superthrive can help a plant induce hormones to help grow roots and leaves better and its not harmful if used in moderation, ive cloned with and without it, but roots seem to come out faster if i used a very little amount, sometimes they even react better to getting outta the dome and into a different environment. Don't mess with with superthrive if you don't know when or how to use it although, if you do it can help a plant go the extra mile.

i took three trimmings from a plant 2 weeks into flower, i used dull scissors and scrapped the roots with a rusty blade, stuck them in to dirt soaked with h2o and superthrive, and guess what, all three have roots. put them in a dome and misted a couple of times a days. took maybe 10 days for all three to have nice roots, no wilting, browning, etc. one has been in dirt for 3 days and the other two will be planted tomorrow. i do not recommend this but a lot of times we stress needlessly. i did this as a worst case scenerio so i knew how far i could go without worry. this is an awesome plant

Your RW cubes look soaked. Are they sitting in water on that tray? They should weigh about 20 grams wet plus the weight of the cutting.

I do not use Superthive. Did years ago when I was a newbie. It's a vitamin/micronutrient additive that is okay if you don't have a feeding regiment from a more established nutrient line such as Botanicare (my personal favorite) or Advanced Nutrients, or even Foxfarm etc.. but if using Superthrive a few drops per gallon is plenty and recommended by anyone I know who has used the stuff. It has been known to cause strange leaf mutation and hermies in flower.. that is why I stay away from it. A more recommended additive that has been nothing but fantastic in my experience is Botanicare's Liquid Karma. 10ml per gal for cuttings. It is a seaweed extract based nutrient that also contains Vitamin B.. has proven results with getting clones to root faster, quicker, and at a higher success rate. To apply, mix in a one gallon container, pour in a clean plastic sprayer and mist soon to be clones once every 2 days in a humidity dome. Before placing cuttings in dome, I soak my rapid rooters prior to taking the cuts in a solution of Liquid Karma 5ml per gal with plain distilled water (only a buck a gallon at the grocery store).

My clones usually come out at 90% success survival rate, usually 9 outta 10.

Ive got good news and bad news. The bad news is theyre fucked and u have to start again. Actually forget the good news.
-next time as said above cube shouldnt be watered anymore than 20-25g ,getthe plastic covered cubes ,dont sit in water ,wait till there are good roots before dumping into soil in grow room under big light.Get a heat mat.
