Clones Vs Seeds

The best way to eradicate it is through Tissue Culture. Ive been doing tissue culture since 1997, except when I was incarcerated.
I got a Tissue Culture Kit from a place called Worms Way in 1996, and every year, I culture all my mothers to assure vigor. Its a pain in the ass to do, but well worth it.
Tissue Culture takes it back the the very beginning of the embryonic stage. This is how most flower production is done in Holland, and probably most places that propagate 1000s of plants a month. Its labor intensive, and things have to be sterile. 1 dust particle can ruin the culture.

This ^^. You don't have to sacrifice an entire female plant to get a lot of seeds. Selective pollination can yield a couple hundred seeds on a single branch.

I'm surprised far more people or operations aren't into this. I saw a place in Michigan that advertises they do tissue culture. 7 Engines in Buchanan I think. Didn't witness it so can't say for sure.

Ya,did a bogo deal (no freebies on any orders though,all feebies are out of stock every time i order)its a heavy sativa pheno and looks promising. Sadly my ssk1 and bw are half the size and same age as my tail bitter (local) and green crack x ak47 (kushman).
Hit & miss but not to bad....

I've not seen it personally but I can say that there is a commercial grow off of 8 mile in Detroit with a fair bit of it. Last I heard they were trying to save some strains with TC and whatever the stem culture they do now is. I don't really fear getting cuts from friends I know in my area, but I doubt I'd buy a commercial clone from here at this point.

Keep your old cuts, all the hottest from 15 yrs ago are insanely hard to find and breeders look for them, last farm i
was working at had a bomb cut of Green crack and Dutch treat and pineapple express... sure Maybe Dutch is only head stash but the other 2 are heaters and got great in joints.

at the rate clones change hands these days on social media, i wouldnt trust it personally unless it was someones seed find and they dont take in clones from others. its everywhere !!!

I wouldn't say it's everywhere but it's definitely making it's rounds. Outside of commercially purchased stuff that gets cloned by someone and passed around I haven't really heard of it popping up. It's seed transmissible too at around a 10% rate supposedly regardless.

Clone mothers at my loft, tray of my clones... circa 2014

Below is a partial list of my clones, i just dug up, circa 2013. By 2014 the list had more than doubled, with close to 30 OG strains (the planets, star wars, jesus og, etc) Clones were fucking 15 dollar a piece and I sold on craigslist.com, along with others . These were all rounded up from dispensaries from Los Angeles to San Diego and Riverside Counties... same price, 10-20$... and from craigslist trades. i noticed nobody sells on craigslist anymore.

When my friend and business partner and I got busted at his place with his and my plants, i went back to my loft in san pedro and threw out the 150+ mother plants i ammassed...

Sad to see most of these are harder to find now, and when they're available, cocksuckers like Matt Riot are ripping people off.. 400$ a clone should be a crime punishable by death

Southern Cali is growing out half that list? Most from early 2000s. Just need to know where to go to find authentic. But your nose will tell you if it is quick. Most of the time it’s an hour drive tho. I see what your saying

I ran a ton of clones for the collective and the biggest let down was when you grow out an entire batch and they look healthy at the beginning but for some reason a few or the entire tray goes bad. Dark Heart Nursery was one of the worst with this and ended up dropping them entirely after problems with their shit. Mother plants go bad if not tended to correctly, some disease doesn't show right away and many people in the industry are just straight up crooks and some hire lazy fucks to tend their clones.

Seeds have been some of the funnest to grow as some are absolute treasures and others are dinky fucks that you cull. I like seeds for the variety and the fact that not everyone else is going to have that same exact plant. The whole town might be smoking gg4 but maybe you got gg600 or whatever.

It's all about what you wanna do, if you wanna go commercial than clones are the way but if you wanna treasure hunt than seeds are the way.

Somebody on Strainly wants 400$ for a cut of Mass Superskunk. Granted, its not a common strain... but thats beyond highway robbery.

As for southen cally, that was a while ago and now im back on the east coast. We were setting up a warehouse to flower and sell clones. I'm sure a lot on that list would have ended up at various dispensaries, and in the hands of private growers, thats all I'm saying. Few people back then had such a collection. Matt Riot actually had some impressive stuff, but he was trying to sucker me into paying 800$ or something ridiculous for a cut of Clockwork Orange. I hear he's still around... always suspicious how he never got busted... California is a crazy place though..

I know clone dealers want to move trays. Thats fine. But when somebody is looking for 1 plant, maybe a med patient, or old school grower trying to hunt out an old strain, as a clone dealer, maybe you rasie the price from 15$ to $50, or even a 100$. Charge $50 for shipping/hassle - but obviously, that isnt whats going on.

Whats going on is one more piece of the bigger picture, people are ruining this wonderful, sacred plant and the magic of it.

nah bro , it’s everywhere. I look around Instagram and you can see peoples pictures and it’s obvious they have it. With the way people trade/ sell clones now , it’s spreading everywhere. Most people don’t even know what there looking at because no one takes it serious
