Cloning directly into soil

im talking about running a full hydro grow. a big tupperware would fit roots for 2 plants i think

He clearly asked if hydro grown herb taste different than that grown in soil based of that users experience. Again he actually contributes to the tread while you troll it up. Do I know Bmeat? No. Have I ever talke to Bmeat? No. Do I dislike trolls that constantly try to bring others down to their miserable level? Yes. Now go somewhere else if you dont wanna add something productive. Troll.

Personally I would just use som e cheap potting soil then go into say a foxfarm. Something light and gentle is key

Word, thanks guys. I was planning on cloning into rockwool but my friend who is a experienced grower told me he clones directly into soil rather than rockwool and has a much better success rate. Different strokes for different folks I guess, figured the soil thing was definitely worth trying. This is my 1st grow and these are some of the girls I will be cloning... They're about a month old from seed. I have to let them grow some more before I take cuttings, there's no stretch to them at all...

I'll be topping/fiming today, I have to get on that shit in the meantime

My cloning method:

Soak Rockwell cubes in ph'd water for a few hours to soften em up. Set them all up in your tray poking holes in the tops of each cube to slide your clone into. Get your rooting gel/powder ready (I use gel). Get a cup of the water you soaked your cubes in. Now your ready to clone. Take your cuttings (cut at a 45) and put them in the cup of water so the cut end is submerged. Take like 6-10 cuttings (whatever fits in your cup). Once you have a bunch then take one, dip the cut end in your rooting gel (try to get the gel up like 3/4 the way) and slide it into the cube. Do this for all your cuttings, once you are done, give them a light spray with the same water you soaked your cubes in and put dome on tray. I take dome off every day for 10min give them a quick spray before I put dome back on and continue this every day till I see roots, takes 7-10 days. I have about 95% success rate on clones doing it this way.

I know its not directly into soil but I have found this method to work very well for me. Hope it helps.

Fuck it maybe I'll do half n half. Half soil-half rockwool, see which one roots faster for me, have myself a lil motha fuckin experiment.

Ya I have a old clear plastic storage tub and lid I poped a couple of holes in the bottom of the tub. I use the lid for the tray with a propagation mat under a rag wool rug total cost at wall mart $30.00.
I use little grodan rock wool cubes. I Snip re- cut 1/4 inch up from original clip I dip in clonex gel stick it in the little hole in the cube and seal the top of the hole. I plug in the mat and in about 3 days we start seeing these poping out! The one in the pot is clone 7 days after cutting, I don't get the whole 10 days 30 days deal why does it take so long for other people? mabey CLEAN cloning practices and technich has something to do with it. I Always scrub up first I always use a little white plastic culinary cuting board, I aways clean my scissors very well before cloning, I always use clean sterill water, I always buy or use a clean steril scalpel before I begin, But hey if 10 to 30 days is what everyone learns to expect so be It. I try to give advice that helps people become BETTER growers, everyone has it in them to improve and sometimes all that is need to make these improvements is proper instructions, something you will not always get from a bunch of ya hoos on the web. I like my mother plants to experienc little or no effect from the cloning process so I will clone the plant right on the doner plant! This little clone is veging and rooting at the same time. It is infact starting to root 3 days after the cloning took place. When the roots are bulging out the bottom about 7 days I will cut the clone away from the doner mother and plant it. The doner mother can continue to be fed as if no cloning was taking place. Feeding the doner mother does not effect the clone in any ill way in fact it will continue to grow vigorously through the process.

Also on another note In your cloning process if you have little branches that aren't good clone prospects, Throw them in a cup of distilled water throw atupperware over them for a couple of days. After a couple of weeks of changing there water everyday 5 out of 10 will grow roots... This is not so hard people

The proper name is called air layering I've done it before





I will do it again to my Ghost chilli pepper plant this spring so I can have a another mom I can clone from. BTW 6" Ghost chilli plants sell for $10 and the dried peppers sell for $20-40 for 7 lol I don't grow just pot indoors.






The peppers on this plant is 1.4 million scoville units a Habanero is only 500,000

Haha good old bhut jolokia aka ghost pepper. I grow them too, they make a wicked hot sauce!!

I'm gonna make some too. Eating the pepper straight is insanity tried it once never again lol. I also have the Trinidad Scorpion pepper as well just recently sprouted 4.
