Closet grow help

I am doing a closet grow and just finnally got some skunk seeds. I am going to be building a box and putting the plants in there. The box will be 2 ft wide 2 ft long and about 3 ft tall. How many plants could I fit in that? I was hoping to get 4 plants in it. 2 vegging and 2 flowering. Im going to prune, scrog, and tie it down so it will hopefully fit. Im going to have 3 cfls in each part of the box. Do you think this setup can work?

the box sounds kind of small. youl probally need more lights for 4 plants, more light the better. find and old dresser and hollow it out that will give u mre room, and u can find them on the side of the road. very stealth good luck

Id make the box bigger, even if it was only 1 plant going in there. But you could probably squeeze 2 in there. Keep in mind... 1 CFL per plant isnt going to cut it, and a box that small is going to get hot if you provide it with enough light, so plan on some way to ventilate it.

get a old closet/fileing cabinet ect. 3 foot isnt very high.
youl need
1 foot for pot
1 foot for lite
and 1 foot for inbetween the lite and top of plants. cos you will be using hps for 12/12. wont you.
so youll need 3 foot before you start. thats why a closet is good because there tall.

na im not doing hps. Im using cfls for the enitre grow. I just need to get like an ounce or so every month so I dont have to buy the shit lol. Just doing a small cheap stealth grow. But i my closet is small so the 2x2 cant get any larger. However i can make it taller. With scrogging and stuf with a taller box cud i get at least 2 plants?

since ur using cfls the entire grow u wont want them to get real big, because the light wont penatrate the canopy. youll want to flower pretty quick for best results. u should aim for 3 cfls per plant . Im not sure you will have enough room to veg an flower in 2x2 but if u do 1 at a time veg 4 then flower 4 in the same space

yea but then I will have to keep using seeds.. I only have 2 skunk seeds lol. I need to figure out how to keep cloning them so i dont need seeds with the limited room i have.

Start simple. Just get the 2 seeds you have to grow- 2 is plenty for a first run at it, and it will allow you to give them both ample attention and space. 2 healthy plants can yeild as much if not more than 4 shitty, small, malnourished plants.

Worry about cloning when the time comes- start reading up. But for now your priority should be the size of the box, the lights for the box, and the fan for the box.

Have you germinated the seeds yet?

I have not germinated them yet. I have them in a sealed container in my dresser. I just want to be worrying about cloning and stuff now so I build the correct sized box and stuff.

you'll need a different space for keeping clones - you'll also need a space for the mother plant.

Also, if you grow only 2 or 4 plants, you're screwed if they all turn out to be male.

I'm not trying to discourage you - just trying to set some realistic expectations and give you some warnings on what to watch out for.

yeah brother your also going to want a seperate grow room for flowering you cant vegg and flower in the same space. because your going to have to cut the light down to 12/12 for flowering and that same amount of light wont sustain vegitative growth. also i was in the same boat as you three weeks ago . since then i have ditched the cfls and upgraded to a t-5 lighting setup and now my plants are actually growing so you might want to consider that too. you need a shit ton of cfls and by the time you get enough in there you will have spent almost as much money on cfls as you could have on either a t-5 high output florescent or a small 250 watt hps.

thats really a good question. all i know is that mine puts out 4000 lumens and i have seen a major difference since i made the switch if you have a hydroponics shop you go to the guys there could explain alot more about the lighting spectrum and all that stuff. and im sure somebody here could elaborate a little better but ill post a picture so you can see what one looks like . in the mean time just google it .
