Closet Grow with Plant Issues Need Help!

Hi all, I've got some problems that began about a week ago. I'm doing a 6 plant soil grow in a closet that is vertically limited, and am using 1X 105W and 2X 68W cfl's and an 8 bulb T5 setup to help keep the heat at bay. I've vented the closet with a fan as well as another for circulation. Things were going well during veg and now I'm in the middle of flowering, which began 7/10/09. I've already been battling a white fly infestation with traps and neem oil spray as directed but have noticed the leaves turning pale and yellow within the past week and a half with some getting crispy and falling off. I've been very careful using fertilizer during veg to avoid burning them and I've given them a little Botanicare CNS17 ripe 1-5-4 for bloom. I'm not sure how to trouble shoot this, can someone help?

I've been been using 1/4 the amount listed of , which is 5ml per liter of water every other water or so. I admit, I haven't been diligent with record keeping. I'm thinking I might up the dose. I also bought a soil ph meter and all the pots measure a little over 7. Is that a little too high, and won't increasing fertilizer help lower it as well? Sorry, it took a while to reply. Thanks.

i would just back off the feeding..pH your water between 6.0-6.5, and just water with plain water for a week. i feed every, then use plain water 2-3 waterings.

I think it is a bit early to back off yet. If they are only 5 weeks in they need to be fed at least one more time to carry em all the way home. They are already yellow and if they do not eat again they will not have anything stored to take them another 3-4 weeks. Your plants are barely 1/2 way through. They are real low on N and they actually do need it during the first 4-6 weeks of flower in smaller doses than in veg. If you have a veg formula on hand, on your next feeding use 1/2 dose of that along with 3/4 of the bloom. Your plants will love you for it. Yes adding nutirents to your water brings the ph down, just check it after you mix your solution.

Brasmith I think you were dead on with your diagnosis and cure. All of my previous grows were in soil and indoors and its common for your plants to start to yellow after begining the flowering stage, you stop feeding them nitrogen (which greens everything up) and your feeding them phophorus and potassium. when the plant runs out of the nitrogen build up thats in your soil it starts to pull it from the lower leaves and transfers it to the new growth. and that is why the lower leaves on the plants yellow first. they look fine to me

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I'm in agreement that they will need more nutes before the final H2O flush. Its only been 44 days of flowering today and I figure they'll need at least 65-70 days total under fluorescent lights. I used Brasmith's dose recommendation for the watering today and will update with pics as soon as I get a new camera. They're still slowly paling in color, but the buds look nice. By the way, I did top the plants during veg hoping for max yeild, but there was one plant that was a runt and wasn't topped. It looks the healthiest of them all with a nice fat cola, and seems to be maturing the earliest, some of the trics are turing amber already. I'll update asap.

Well, things haven't improved that much. Day 52 of flowering and the leaves are still pale. I've heard of some stuff call Clearex, would that be a wise thing to do? I hope they make it another 2-3 weeks.

This little lady looks close to finishing. All the leaves are just about gone, but the buds are still lookin good. Most of the hairs have turned orange witha few white ones still on top. Today is the end of 8 weeks.

Yep day 57 and she looks great, winding down now. Since she is an indica she looks like she is at the peak time for harvesting. Have you looked at your trichs through a magnifying glass? Once she gets that overall amber or golden tint to her it is time to take her down. Good job:clap::clap::weed:

also, the new white hairs are always gonna pop up making you think she isn't done. They get fewer as flower time progresses but she will still spit out white hairs.

They look real close Brasmith. I picked up a cheap microscope that does 60-100X magnification, and there are still a lot of clear trichromes. With that in mind they need at least a week or so. Do you think the plant will survive for long without leaves and just buds? BTW, Thanks for the praise!

Nice. She'll make it a week and gain some more amber and weight, you can't go wrong really. I've harvested at this point before and been very pleased, so you would too if you sampled a nice sized chunk. It's always good to know exactly where you stand;-).

You are welcome your plants are lovely
