Closet Growbox 2

So this is a continuation of a thread I started in the hydroponics section. I'm going to continue in this section though because I plan to do a journal for the grow.

So I had some old Holland's Hope seeds from Nirvana sitting around and I decided to germinate and try to grow some. My friend also tossed me a mix of some Blueberry x AK47, NL x C99, and White Widow seeds. The mix were from plants that were pure strains that was pollinated by a bagseed herme.

the upside though is that now they'll all be girls.

So grow time.

I took these pictures on day 2. I purchased a $13 light and installed 2 bright white daylight CFLs. I'm only using 2 CFLs for the time being because I don't want the excess heat just yet.

I have an air hose split with a gang valve and going to an airstone in each box.

in the pics I have 5 HH seedlings in the box on the left and 5 mix seeds on the right.

These pictures are fresh out the oven today.

the first picture is of my last seedling to sprout. It's the final HH seed. This is will fill the last slot in my growbox. I was actually full already, but one of my seedlings died because it stretched out too much and couldn't stand up anymore. So....problem solved.

Next pics are my current setup. I've lowered the lights a bit closer to the plants now. I still have 5 HH in the left along with 2 of the mix. I have 6 of the mix in the box on the right. I'll eventually move one the mix over to make a spot for the final HH seedling.

The last picture is just to show what the setup would look like with a couple of warm CFLs.

oh right, yeah I also have 4 muffin fans. I only run them for a bit during the day. I don't want the seedlings to be under too much stress just yet.

Today I added 2 more lights on the outside slots because I was noticing the plants were stretching a lot to get light. I've moved them around to balance them out.

Not a lot else to note. 2 of the seedlings fell over for no apparent reason, I propped one up with some toothpicks. A little while after it stood up by itself, but then another fell over. Did the same thing.

I will be watching this one...your seedlings are falling over from stretch... get the light as close to them as you can, also get that rocwool under the hydrotron rocs or you are going to have an alge problem

So I haven't done an update in quite a while but honestly no one really wants to see week old seedlings grow. We all know what that looks like, so let's recap.

My youngest seedling died. I discovered it was not developing new roots. probably shocked from being put in the box too early.

2 other seedlings died. They were from the box with the mixed seeds. The stems thinned out badly and even after extensive watering and spraying with vit B they both died. Both showed poor root development after inspection.

In fact, since I haven't used a drip system at all in my boxes the plants that have developed the best roots have developed much faster. My 2 tallest plants have very long roots already. More then a foot and a half each. The rest that are alive are all steadily developing roots as well.

Some of the new leaves on the plant are getting a saggy floppy look. I'm not sure if it's the temp or maybe even possibly the Vit B in the water I spray on them is burning them. Not sure. Any opinions?

Some of the HH seeds have started showing some slight signs of blue/purple hues on the insides of the leaves. One in particular is showing very positive signs that it's going to be blue later. It's not very obvious in the picture, but you can kind of tell. The new developing leaves all have a bluish hue too.

The other 2 pics are of my more developed plants.
