Closet TENT - First Organic Grow - 2 Bagseed - PICS

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my journal. I will do my best to update this as regularly as possible, because i always appreciate good feedback. This is my first ever grow, and now have the tools available to make this happen.

I have 2 bagseeds that I am initially testing on, and if all goes well, will add known strains for the next crop
I have a separate space for the veg plants. A little box i constructed a while back. I have included photos of everything

My space is only big enough for 2 X 3Gallon pots, unless i figure out how to mount my carbon filter + inline on the roof of my tent...


I've already germinated and have the seedlings on their way...(today is day 4 of seedlings sprouting). Both seeds germed exactly at the same time, same root size coming out and everything...Both sprouted same time as well, so interesting to see which of the 2 will b healthier n stronger

My plan is to veg about 4-5 weeks, not sure yet and then add to tent for flowering.

I know u guys prefer pics to reading, so here are some pics of the seedlings to date and my setup which includes:

- 12" OSC fan

- Pure Blend Bloom + VEG and B1 nutrients

I read a lot about 24/0 vs 20/4 and decided to change to 20/4. I hope it doesnt stress em out too much !

I am on DAY 6 and all photos were taken a few minutes ago.









Changes:

-added 42W 6500k to replace a 23W
(42W 6500K + 42W 2700K + 23W 6500K) - TOTAL 105W for 2 plants

- added PC fans for intake/exhaust. intake in rear bottom left, exhaust in top front right

Everything seems to be fine. I am waiting on my hydrometer from dealextreme.com which'll be necessary when i flower!!

Hope these are ladies i am dealing with!

Friend was nice enough to set me up with a thermometer. still waiting for the one i ordered tho

Day 7


Just another day, and the babies are growin!

1 question: My temps were down to 65-66 during dark cycle...is this bad?

While lights are on, temps fluctuate between 71-76

photos were taken a bit earlier then i would normally take em so tomorrows pics of day 9 they should be huge!

One of the leafs has a weird curl/twist...is that bad?

Did my first temperature test in the tent. I left it on for 90 minutes and it was 78degrees sitting on the bottom.

Will my lighting in my veg box be enough for these plants 4-5 weeks old?

Im tempted to place these guys in my HPS tent, but dont think its absolutely necessary yet...what do you guys think??

thanks Panda! I've read a lot of threads and know that i cant go wrong with the wealth of resources here.

I can only hope these are females and am almost tempted to just start germing the critical+ and barneys farm LSD seeds i've been saving.

I also have a dinafem auto haze, not sure how I could include that in my cycle.

I just watered em, after not watering 4 days. The top was completely dry. I could have probably waited another day to water, but the leaves were SLIGHTLY drooping so i think it was ready.

I just fed em 1/4 strength nutes and foliar fed distilled water.

1 of the 2 is really outshining the other, in terms of speed of growth, symmetry and overall green.

The 1 thats struggling had the seed shell stuck to the cotyledons for about 1-2 days, when i finally removed it manually. I guess it made the difference!!

Here are some shots of both plants, both bagseed, unnamed. Cant wait to see what im getting myself into~~!!!

Day 12


Whats up peeps!

Been a day or 2 without updates, so here they are

Made a slight change, adding back the 4" Fan to give better circulation all around.

My temps have reached Mid 80's now, so trying to lower that with more air and a colder room!

The stems from the plants were very weak. I actually had too little soil, so i had to add some...(sorry the pics were taken JUST before i did this, so tomorrow you'll see more growth + straight plants). I also added the 4" Fan to blow on the plants.

I adjusted the height for the first time...dropping the plants a bit, to let em stretch...they dont seem to want to go higher than 1-2 inches off the rim of the pot.

The plants are giving off a very "green" smell, with a hint of the sweet sweet aroma of weed. Soon!!

Please comment guys, and tell me what you think!!!

Is this a problem?


Can someone please identify this? It seems to be on both plants but not everywhere...

Did you spray the leaves of the plants and wipe with toilet paper to get the excess off? Or possibly spray them with lights shining on them? If so, spray when lights are about to go off. And all this is if you sprayed the plants otherwise I'm not to sure.... I did that, and that's what it kinda looks like.

Yea that makes sense...sprayed em a bit and because i added dirt to the pot, it was on the leaves so i brushed it off...ok i was like...spider mites? webs? nooo

Its been 2 weeks they are alive and well. I have nothing else to say other than they are growing FAST!

When should i translplant to 2.5G Pots?

They look like an indica/sativa mix. No clear indication yet of anything

What size pots are they in now? How wide and tall are your plants?

They are in 6" pots


height from the cotyledons like just under 2"....

They are beginning to spread wider than the pots.
