Why no one light set up works for all

Phaeton said "sativa wants almost 20% more blue than the indica." We can pretty well extrapolate that as ^^^^ 411, BUT, what about crosses? I say play to the strain that is dominant. BUT, I am growing my first (F1 X) between S/I and will begin to select the Indica dom from them to clone. THEN I can hone in on which combination of spectrums works best.
However, I have seen signs already as the pinkish side plants have larger leaf sets

Another hot tip is that the blue spectrum is only utilized by ~ 8-10%. So if your grow bulbs have a decent % blue, adding a Special Blue Actinic (I was) is wasting a slot needed for 550-700, but if/when you are in flower, using ~ 80% 600-740, then adding a SBA would be essential.

Bear in mind I am using 6/8 bulb HO T5:
One 3 bulb mix leaned to pink, the other with the SBA blue-pink. I noticed the plants under the pinker blend had bigger leaf sets! Good indicator that they are Indica dom. So today, beginning 3rd week veg, I replaced #2 (SBA) with a UVL AquaSun.

Spectral balance is now equal, leaning toward pink, as follows:

Veg

1 & 4. Quantum Grow (veg only)

2 & 6. UVL AquaSun (veg only)
3 & 5. Coral Wave (veg/flower)

This config distributes the spectrums evenly

* UVL says Red Lifes will be shipped out this Friday. They now have a few 660s for testing. I hope to wrangle 2.

For Flower I'm thinking

1 & 8 Quantum Flower or UVL AquaSun
2 & 7 660
3 & 5 Coral Waves
4 & 6 Red Lifes - 600-615

That 411 probably got lost. UVL has been working on developing a line exclusively for horticulture, and now have their first small sample run of 660s.

that would be sweet i need to get my hands on a few of thoes for when i get a bigger fixture for flower

howdo we go about getting some

How many plants are you growing under T5HO? I've been looking at the 4ft 8 bulb unit..what kinda yields you getting? Also, how much does that T5 add to your normal monthly bill?

Where are you finding those?
Not available for general public yet. MSRP is said to be $25. Let me know who wants in, and how many, and I will ask UVL. They got a run of 18 bulbs. I have no idea how many are spoken for. I did not get any, thinking my ZooMed FloraSun + Coral Waves + Red Lifes (shipped- contact your retailer) gets me close enough without dropping another $50. Will know in about 3-4 weeks when I am 1-2 weeks into flower

Do you know the spectrum info? Is it really a pure red like a red sun or is it a mix like a flora sun? I would love to see a picture of one lit up. I'm all about looking for ANY bulb that is red dominant at this point so I can shift the overall ratio farther. :)
