Here I got all excited about last nights debates thinking to myself " someone has to mention the War on Drugs, or Medical cannabis use...NOTHING!
But they can ask dumb questions like " Hilary, are you a liberal?" ...who gives a SHIT! And that black dude asking for a hand-out, what was that?
I guess most of the Democratic candidates will end federal raids on patients and caregivers, but nothing was said about the Drug War.
We can't expect the Republicans (except Ron Paul) to do anything about ending the war on drugs, the Dems are our only shot.
What do ya think?

They can't openly come out and say they will do anything to end the war on drugs. If they did that, it would be a political death sentence for them. Wait until one of the Dems are actually sitting in the White House and then ask about the War on Drugs. Doing so now, would either get no answer, or they would say they will have to form an exploratory committee to look into it. Either way it would not be an answer that you would want to hear.

Not true..Mike Gravel came out and said and i quote..
"We are losing an entire generation of young men and women to our prisons. Our nation's ineffective and wasteful 'war on drugs' plays a major role in this. We must place a greater emphasis on rehabilitation and prevention. We must de-criminalize minor drug offenses and increase the availability and visibility of substance abuse treatment and prevention in our communities as well as in jails and prisons." Just as I suspected they would be, the youtube questions were carefully screened to make sure none of the candidates were accidentally asked a REAL hard hitting question...and the first question - " Where my reperations money at ? "....I am not sure who is worse, the idiot that asked that question, or the idiot that figured it was worthy of being put on national television.Watching Clinton stand up there and act like she's running for president for anything other than her own personal ego was sickening. And Obama sitting there trying to prove he is " black enough " for the job.. I mean come on.It was bad news all around. The saddest thing about it is that there are no Republicans strong enough to beat a Clinton/Obama or Clinton/Edwards ticket..God help us.

heymo the only thing is, he don't stand a chance at winning even the Democratic nomination. Have you seen how low in the polls he is right now? So he's just in the race to fill it out. And also to keep that campaign money when he loses the nomination.

I know Gravel, Kucinich, and Richardson would end it and they have mentioned that before, but I'm dissapointed in last nights questions.

I hear ya. I was disappointed with the questions also. It would have been better if they had a group of people with differing views asking real political questions about what they would do in the White House. But that reminds me of a Q & A session MTV had with Clinton when he was running for president the first time. One question, "Do you still party and get wasted?"

I watched the Glenn Beck show last night and he showed some of the questions that were edited out. It was unbelievable. Thanks to our government monopolized school systems, we live in a nation filled with idiots.

yea i know and its a hard thing for me because i wouldnt vote republican but i will not vote for Hillary or Obama...the country isnt ready for either..Mike Gravel was the only one i liked hearing talk(in the short amount of time he was given)its gonna be a tough decision at least for me because the country needs a change but so far none of the Dem front runners have impressed me.

Well I was 16 when I worked on President Reagans re-election campaign or would have voted for him. Voted for first Bush because I hated his running opponent. Worked on both Clinton election and re-election campaigns after I heard a speech he gave. Didn't vote for GWB or Gore, because Gore is an idiot who claimed to have created the internet in one of his speeches, and didn't hear GWB speak at all until he ran. And knew I wouldn't vote for him. Might vote for Hilary because she is an intelligent speaker and I got to know her real well. So I know where she stands on most major issues. Obama I couldn't vote for because he doesn't have the political experience and also because he blew a debate question on the issue of civil rights.

Why don't you look into All of the scandal surrouding the Clintons throughout their lives.Look into the Whitewater scandal and see how many folks mysteriously turned up dead when it came time to find out what the hell the Clintons were up to...She is a murderous old crone..If she becomes president that will be a tragedy.

I have looked into it. I was working in D.C. at the time of the Clinton White House and all of the people that did turn up dead were ruled suicides by coroners. And all the investigations by the Senate into all of the scandals turned up no credible evidence to make any charges. Or they would have been charged for the crimes. Besides if we tried to elect somebody that has never had a scandal linked to them, then we would be waiting for a long time.

This is right wing bullshit and erronious conjecture. I challenge you to prove this! Although I don't particularly care for Hillary, I would vote for her before any Republican candidate besides Ron Paul, in fact, I'd vote for a dead dog before any of the rest of the repuke candidates.

The funniest moment for me was during the "look to your left" question.
When Gravel said to Dodd, " I served with your father" I was like, Jesus Christ how old is that dude?

You are way off.I am not all that conservative, right-wing, or republican. Don't make comments when you have no clue who you are talking about. And as far as all the ppl that came up dead surrounding WHitewater... you think all those folks " commiting suicide " , all being close to the Clintons and having info. that could blow the case wide open at a time when the case was being investigated are coincidences?? Are you kidding me? Look at the first victim- Vince Foster- it was claimed he commited suicide but the evidence at the scene proved his body was moved due to the blood patterns. Not only that but the gun found was laying on the ground on the wrong side of his body...I mean seriously try to look at things objectively and stop believing everything you read on the damn evening news.
