load of crap again- wish people would use the search function ---- co2 do not work in passive environment, if it did you would see greenhouses full of it - absolute crap - people need to research themselves and stop arguing with people who try to help - its like dealing with a bunch of school girls sometimes
Huh?
Doesn't co2 "work" in any environment? it's there or it isn't
I've seen greenhouses with co2 inside

so have I - ex bio dynamic farmer(indoor greenhouse veg and cannabis) , and still run green houses(veg only on the farm) and building another - never said it doesn't work in any environment, have used large blocks of dry ice in the past with limited success - waste of time if open to the environment........ keep up the grammar patrol doing a good job as per-normal .......

Perhaps you're confusing logic and grammar?

I've never made a comment regarding anyone's grammar.

Sorry to hear the dry ice didn't work out.

Most just realize they shouldn't have such thin skin and carry on and ask. Others get butthurt and cry about it.

BTW
Just to give you shit
Witch = a hag or one who summons mystical shit.
You were looking for which. Which would been better for the reader lmao.
I was hoping we were gonna 'try a witch'...I had my pressing stones and my dunking pond all ready for the festivities.

I did give you advice - become amazing at growing, get plants were jealous of and then and only then use co2. Before that point your just wasting money and time, it's not something that's going to do anything until your pushing to perfection since the leaves get more than enough co2 from the atmosphere.

Your not taking that advice, you still want to run co2 and your plants just aren't good enough to accept the extra and give back the extra growth. Too many try to use pro methods when they are not yet good enough.

Argue all you want, the advice was there but you just cannot accept it and want to run co2 so we kind of excluded you from the conversation which is what the site is for and not your own personal control issues.

Now please don't reply and we won't need to ever talk about it again!
Winner! There's a bunch of guys who are growing amazing crops here that aren't anywhere near touching CO2 for their grows. There's also guys who are amazing growers and have figured out that it CAN be a great tool in the right place and situation to eek out even more from their grows, but they also have the knowledge and experience to capitalize on it.

There's a bunch of nuance here though. There's implementation (aka the systems being used, controllers and monitors to make it work correctly in specific given settings), and there's application (people who are trying to raise the ceiling of their grow potential when they've maxed out the other traditional variables).

My tent is in a sealed room my 5x5 tent is in a 12x15 sealed room but was given the thing for free so can’t hurt and only one way to see how it does
You run an exhaust. It's of no benefit.

Where does your exhaust go? From the tent to the "sealed room"? If so why bother? If it's sealed then you aren't getting fresh O2 into your grow.

I do something similar, the tents exhaust into the "sealed" room. Works quite well when temps are low and I can run my dehumidifier.
I don't exhaust into the basement proper to conserve heat.

Yes we only need extra co2 when we hit maximum growth, maximum light, maximum heat, maximum nutrition. When I see some grows pushing boundaries co2 could be a limiting factor but the reality is few of us are really pushing those boundaries.

Unless your cropping huge amounts it's not really worth the effort for a few extra percent anyway.

I agree if you have ample co2, it should be the least of your worries.

I started dabbling with co2 from my tinkering with sensors and microcontrollers. I got a co2 sensor and noticed my tent co2 would fall from 425 to 300 in a hour or so. My goal was to get it back to at least ambient.

I certainly don't have everything dialed-in perfectly but the difference in growth rate between 300ppm and 700ppm is obvious.

My plants and I get atmospheric levels quite constantly and I cannot increase it and get results but I can increase my lights temps and nutrition and see results but I'm not growing on the edge.

Look at co2 graphs for photosynthesis, a steep line then flat, to hit the flat all else needs to be max.

300 is low 700 probably unwanted and can go much lower.

More to that story but I don't want to work out why but you can.

*Looks back at this thread filled with professional growers and long time hobbyists who are providing actual information instead of being yes men*
Not all never said that I get great info here but also get just as much “extra” from the “pros” there’s a difference in helping and encouraging over basically saying you waisted your money blah blah when I asked if it could be under a grow light so….

You need everything else up to actually get use from co2? That’s what I’ve got from it too basically you need a different environment more light higher temps to get use from extra co2 but you say you don’t even use it? Like I said before the bag was given to me and just kinda got me wondering and figured I’d ask here and get real experience not the “store” saying it does and I do appreciate the info

But you stopping to say this is different well then you also know I did search and see what people are saying but show me where someone has asked if ok to put under or need it above light? So thanks I did search and not just here but I shouldent ask a question but ok for you to stop in with your 2 cents no one said u had to say anything and I’m sure you never asked a question

I’m confused as to why you think I’m so determined to use co2 I was given something to try asked where it needed to be and then simply asked others questions yea I said I was planning on using a tank if I did I’m in no way worried about co2 I’m scared to trim the damn things and also like to ask and see what I get if Im curious about something and I really enjoy the replies good or bad

not sure what you mean by "run it at night". we dont need co2 during lights off.

in the tent, co2 level is ~400 if im not in the room and will go up to ~800 if im in there for an hour or longer. 12x12 room.
Sorry, yeah that's one of those things where where you're thinking on thing and type the opposite. I blame the weed.

More succinctly I was wondering what your baseline was and what the PPM was with the gas and the exhaust was given a tank lasts you a month. Absent your personal co2 contribution via respiration.

Also what's PPFD's do you run veg/flower?

Tbh I think what it was is the fact that you asked about the location. Upon review most found that one: your environment was/ is off. Two: most don't have the lighting to fully utilize it either and three: the bags are a hunk of junk. Most were simply informing you of all of that before you spent all those 80% of ppl have no business running co2.

Here's why I make such a bold statement.
Think of plants as your body. You've been working out and your getting decent gains.
Bro master flash over hear is saying use some gear broasaurse-rex well that cool and all but the rub is your diet, exercise and sleep is all jacked to the max and the golden dumbbells are simply out of reach. because eating pizza and running and lifting every third day is making you chonky cat real fast you dig. Meaning the roids make you gain fat faster since your diet and junk are out of wack yo. Your diet and sleep is like your plants environment. If it's screwed up your plants will show it faster all your issue come quicker and most can't compensate. Next think you know your fat and out of breathe yelling and the hydro store guy because the roids made you angry. your plants are all fucked up and you stroke out and your plants die super angry.

What I'm getting at is everything needs to be damn near perfect to truly utilize the benefits of co2. So get your environment down max your natural gainz( flower and plant power ) once you achieved that then add co2 and become the grand flower pimp of the stars.

Also sorry I've been plying with these terpinator trp stacks this afternoon and might be higher the the gods of old lmao.

Hope the analogy helped some and thanks for storytelling with me.

i dont have a par meter, but i run my eagle 650i at 100% in flower 12-15" from canopy. veg ill run closer to 18'

Great answer bro and I agree I have no plans on running co2 in this setup im far from that and have way more important things to worry about but I knew it couldn’t hurt so was curious on if the light hurt it or not it’s just turned into a whole different Subject and don’t know if one person has answered that question but tbh I enjoy reading it all
