Co2???!!!! Bs!!!

So if you burn for co2 with a generator what effect does the co have? It is a poison so don't you have to get it out and if you vent it out u lose the co2 as well so I don't get how people use the burners without making to much monoxide (co) and making a toxic air situation. If you use tanks and you keep it constant at 1500ppm co2 how much more growth will you get as opposed to just adding up to 1500ppm 5 times every 12 hour light cycle? Not sure then if the 20lb tank will last any time at all...
when using a burner, the gas is burned with complete combustion and blue flame which indicates complete combustion with only CO2 released. yellow flame indicates CO

When the burner is getting adequate oxygen it will produce carbon dioxide which is what you want. When oxygen in the room gets dangerously low then the burner will produce carbon monoxide which can kill you. The CO2 monitor above is good for monitoring and cheap but provides no control. If can afford it get a better unit that will provide you control.

Affording it would be the problem, a controller with ppm capability is gonna cost you although I just spent 2 bills on a mickey mouse cap air 4 I wish I'd have thrown another bill and a half on the ppm capable one and added the ppm module later (another 4 bills) , on the other hand a 7 dollar timer and that monitor you posted above (+rep for pricing) (-rep for still using ebay) ....jk

Why not just use a coleman stove two burner. With the hook up I have it will run for about two months off and on of course. Puts out over 11000 btu so plenty of co2 and I already own it.. Guess turning it on and off 5 times a day might be a hassle but I am here all day so maybe right.. Why do butane burners increase humidity? My regular heater drys the fuck out of the room, better than my a/c unit could ever do in dehumid mode. I know it is hot.. But anyway If I could rig a timer device for a coleman stove i would only need to have that monitor then I could dial in how long and how often I would have to light it.. Seems simple.. Wondering if filling the room periodically effect good out come though. I mean does the co2 have to always stay right at 1500 to get the results I saw from co2 enrichment or will you get great results still if you can figure out how long and how often to turn on the gas.. I mean no monitor control just looking at at monitor and then figureing out when and how long.. Anyway Fucking co2 is such a decision and it is the only way to do it like a star.. Look at fiend's grow, his single giant side by side colas with almost no veg time and just good roots then 12/12 is all the proof I need.. I tried plants that small without extra co2 and I got little nothings.. With the big plants i got great colas but lots lots and lots of work trimming and the like so ok... still can't figure out how a propane burner is cooled somehow with water? I mean the flame is open and the gases come out so would the heat so how does the water thing cooled the gases??

ehh I would say your Setups limited space for plant size is also holding you back a tad.. i mean.. in some 18gal. dwc you could grow monsters.. and if you add co2 you will really notice diff. you have a Tying nightmare

I run a hydrofarm Co2 solenoid regulator w/timer and its pretty simple really. I have the 0-2 cubic foot one and that good for up too about 10x10x7 so you would need the 2-20 cubic foot kit most likely. I did a few test with Co2 test kit to make sure but I used this website (http://www.hydroponics.net/learn/co2_calculator.asp) to calculate how long it takes to fill my tent with 1300ppm CO2 to get it to 1500PPMish. The website said 32-33 minutes and we run for 45 minutes w/ the fans off because we have some vents open. Then it goes off for an hour and then back on for 45 min. Our 20lb tank last about 3 weeks for our 8x8x7 room. 2 vents open they are small 8x4 inch maybe.

Check my set up if you like

Bradely delp killed himself with two charcoal grills in a bathroom, I figure a tank of co2 is much safer than a generator(and much much safer than a ghetto generator) but probably cost a bit more to maintain, safety over cost is what it comes down to.

whether this pertains to this thread or not I don't give a fuck, I'm abusing multiple substances tonight and its pretty cool that half of them are legal(at prescribed dosage)
I might add my nephew(which has his amendment 20 grow right down the street from me, his veg room is in the same room as his water heater and furnace, he just tweaks the exhaust cap that vents the gases(mostly co2 unless some shit happens) . cheap source but in the end potentially lethal. Do wtf you want I say.

Just bought twin reg/flow meter/moniter and two tanks. Why now would I want to skip the thing that makes a grow great instead of a nightmare of leaves??? Just curious why you say that.. I have grown over 5 huge crops with passive venting and large carbon filter with fan and well co2 quite frankly at 1500 ppm will make a 30 oz grow at least double and with a third the work in trim and plant supporting work... so again why skip it for now???? I got rid of 24 oz's (legal) not that it is anyones business even if it wasn't but that was at $400 an oz. so ok....

dude take the advice, skip the CO2 for now

NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!

Never ever vent exhaust gases from water heaters, furnaces, etc. into a living space.

EVER!!!!

Please tell your nephew to stop NOW before you have to bury him and his house mates.

oh man you go ahead and use the CO2 and cut off the fan leaves... might as well grow them upside down

Done many ways and small plants will become great with one thing only 1500ppm co2. Without all that extra yes you have to keep all the shit leaves and branches.. JUST go look at trichlone fiend's grows. Only difference in a big small plant and a small small plant is his use of co2.. Now f all the bs on fan leaves and not trimming. This guy shows how when done right all the crap can be cut away and you can have great single cola grows.. He has it together so tell me now that co2 is not the key to greatness.. And for the ass that called me kook, good riddance.....

what light are you planning to use? and what about temps? room should be sealed you have A/C?

Two 1k hps Agro Sun with batwings. Have ac/dehumid unit. Carbon filter. Only thing left is a tiny little bit of caulk and then greatness. LOL.... I figure in my 50 station nft area 7'x7.5'x8'h I can get in 35 plants and let them be big single or double cola monsters without all the side crap. I am guessing around 45 to 50 oz's.. Or might go with 28 plants like before and just not trim as much but lots more than last grow without co2. That grow I got 30 oz's but took 5 days of 4 hours a piece to trim. Hate popcorn and the time..
