co2 druing flowering?

A freind, who seems to know his stuff, said that there is no need for additional CO2 during flowring, that it is mainly used for the vegging, however I have read conflicting views on this - whatr is the general rule of thumb regarding co2 and flowering?

Well plants need CO2 at all times. I dont think there is any need of extra co2 unless you have either a HUGE flower room or poor ventilation. Other than that extra wouldnt be necessary but could still benefit.

obviously I am not going to deplete the room of all CO2 during flowering, but if I don't have to pay for the ADDITIONAL CO2 to run during the flowring stage then that's good to know

I'd like to think most every one that's enriching in co2 is doing so in their flower room. I'm sure it's awesome in veg as well. Your friend was a little misinformed.

Plants need CO2 all the time. I am using Exhale Bags for the first time on this grow and expect to see improvements.

Don't fall into the "OMG we needs moar co2" bs. I don't think anyone actually realizes how much co2 is already in their home. Often times more than outside. Your stinky bodies and family breathing your horrible breath in your house for however long. Most families don't have a damn forest in their house to clean the air.

outdoor is 200-500 ppm
indoor is 350-1000 ppm

For Feb 2013 the global average was 396.80 ppm

I seen a Guy with a bag it looked like some kind of chips and the bag said c02 on it what is that and are they good? Also I thought you use c02 when you have so much light that you use c02 to help plant take up more like idk I read that some where.

Think of it like this, If you were baking a cake, would doubling any one ingredient help the cake or hurt it? If you want to make a bigger cake you have to increase all the ingredients somewhat equally.. at some point you will put one too many eggs in and your cake will not be cake anymore.

Growers supplement CO2 to make up for numbers of plants and overall increased growth in otherwise confined spaces. The more plants you have the more apt you are to see any benefit from it. Making it more available is always nice though. What Mr2shim says is dead correct.

If you want to "experiment" make a small co2 generator with simple chemistry and try it. NOw go bake that cake..
